EtherealDeath has his icon locked at the DT because he'd already gotten it through normal means and the DT was more fitting for his name. Plus, he asked. And I'm pretty sure a while ago you asked to have a random icon, and you didn't care which, right? It caused a whole hububaloo because no one knew what was going on. So my question is, why is it that some mods are just like "lol no" when someone asks for a custom icon, and others (such as EtherealDeath and TorteDeLini) are just given it? EDIT: Jesus Christ I'm fail. I just typed that entire post without realizing that I was replying to you Torte ^.^ Editing it again lol. | ||

If memory serves me right... people were talking about TDL posting so much that they couldn't keep up with his new icons all the time... And then TDL got a icon (was it queen?) that he didn't really fancy, and asked a mod if he could get it changed, and he was threatened with a probe, wich he was fine with, but the next day he had a new icon, and people noticed it changed into something random every day... That's just from memory tho, and I am quite tired... | ||

The practice partner thread isn't entirely a succes IMO. You need to add a huge amount of people you've never had any contact with to ask them (when they're finally online) if they have any time to practice a bunch with a complete stranger instead of playing with someone else. Can we try to get another TL - chat channel going specifically for people who seek some games or have some free time on their hands to help out other players? | ||

I wanted something other than queen and I got a slew of random annoying icons (including a birthday one) that had people spam my inbox wondering what was up. In all cases, the effect is never good. It sounds cool, but in reality, it's just annoying and troublesome. Punishment for asking for something. It's back to normal now, thankfully. | ||

Does everything remotely interesting deserve it's own thread? Shit like this, this, this, and this who were 4 of the 5 threads under General section, barely have any content. Two of them are news stories that aren't really entertaining. The general replies in those threads can be summarized to 'ah' or 'oh wow'. Even the sources barely have more content than the OP. The other two are Pop albums which could of been posted in any of the countless music genre thread. I'll probably never see them again on page 1 of the general section. I'll also probably miss some meaningful threads or see them 30 pages later, at which point I feel I am not in a position to join the discussion. IMO this is already getting out of hand. Like today I saw a 30 minute show on National Geographic which presented three weird cases which had about 5 times more potential for discussion than those threads presented above. Should I make 3 threads about it? =/ Yeah, I can just ignore them but it'll only get worse I think. | ||
