An okish foreign player goes to Korea and owns 4 players in a row of arguably the best team in the world, that's such a headline, so great for international e-sports, but I did a ctrl-f on TL's mainpage the past days and it never found "QXC"
I can understand that it could be a gtsl spoiler and you cant immediately make a newsitem like that, but it's been 3 days now. When a TL member wins something big, there is usually a big newsitem the next day.
Yes this is the teamliquid site, yes of course they want to promote their own team. But this is also the biggest SC2 site in the world and TL is usually very objective, so I guess I expected QXC to get much more attention. I mean look at the current headlines:

- Team Dignitas signs TanDon…
- TSL's Coach Lee speaks out…
- FXO parts ways with Sheth
- White-Ra and Jinro to MLG …
- Puma leaves TSL for EG

Isn't QXC's achievement bigger news than most of those?
For the record I'm more a TL fan than a FXO fan, but somehow this feels unfair.
Probably because no one wrote an article.
I bet if you wrote a good one you could get it spotlighted! what an opportunity.

+ Show Spoiler +No, it's not bigger than most of those. No money was won, and FXO is still in last place. If you look through all of the news threads in the section, not a one is about results, even about something as big as NASL finals.
That being said, it will be covered in the next GTSL update, but because the win happened to be right after the most recent update, there is going to be a delay. The schedule isn't going to be changed because of an upset, That's not the way it works.

I do appreciate that it will be in the next featured news
I guess I just expected a bit earlier and with more hype. TL is my primair source for SC2 news, I hardly ever visit other sc2 sites.
TL is also all about making esports bigger outside Korea. Foreigners winning in GSL and GTSL is still very rare, even with Huk owning these days.
So, even when the results don't really matter anymore and no prizemoney was won, when a foreign gamer had such a great personal achievement in Korea I expected to see some headlines the day after on my favorite site.
I mean how is,

Yeah I Ctrl-F my name often, it's just that it doesn't work across pages.

Yeah but you need to understand that the writing staff is an all volunteer team and that most of us don't really have the time to write about the events right after they happened (which is why most of TL's news post are on a weekly basis).

If you're having trouble cross-page searching simply click the "All" link next to the page numbers to display every post in the thread. It might take a while depending on the thread but as long as it's under 50 pages it shouldn't be too difficult.

No, there's a better way. :p
Open up the search on TL. Then, select "Content Only", and type your exact username into the main bar at the top, where you regularly put your searches in.
Now search.
It should bring up all posts where you are referred to by your username, but also brings up posts where you're quoted, because it says "On XXXXXX, Person wrote this", where person is your name, and that is brought up through the content only search, as it just becomes text in their quote.
I'm not sure how up to date it is though, so you might need to test that.*
+ Show Spoiler +*Because when you look at someone's posts on their profile, there is normally a delay from what they posted until it shows up under their posts, or can be found in a search, so maybe there's just a delay with searches and newer posts, which would carry over to quotes.

From my personal experience, if the sole intention of the blog is to advertise your Twitter then yes.
To better formulate: write something about your progress, how it is going, what you intend to achieve, what kind of problems you're encountering, etc.
Then at the bottom, you can insert your twitter stating that further updates can also be found on your twitter account. It's only if your main content is how people can find updates about your progress.
That's my understanding at least.
