Easy: threads about female-only tournaments. Every other post is some idiot reinforcing the "basement-dwelling sociopath" gamer stereotype. Aside from the people posting just to say that they disapprove of the tournament, there are usually tons of borderline sexual harassment-type comments that I find really difficult to moderate (when is "creepiness" actionable?).
Every time one of these threads pops up I'm reminded of the SotG where the panel discussed the Kelly Milkies FHM thread here at TL. They all agreed that the community's reaction was generally disgusting and that the thread was full of rude/inappropriate/negative posts, but then went on to dig the accompanying article for portraying gamers as "crazy geeks". Disconnect! I agree that it's sad to see gamers get negative press like that, but it's hard to say the stereotyping is terribly unfair when such a significant portion of this community actually does go batshit over all things female gamer.

What started the No-Religion Thread policy, as what triggered it?

I came into moderation after that was settle, but my take on it is from the get go people don't agree on a base and can't discuss the subjects at hand.
Basically everyone in that matter has a set mind and you can argue for pages and pages and the only thing you will get is people throwing insults and jabs at each other while going around in circles. Kind of like bumper cars, but without the fun part.

Edit: ooh bloo goo in 2008 i posted this going away thread (to leave TL because of law school), receive all these well wishes and nice comments from the rest of staff, only to run TSL2 and end up working for the site full time scumbag hotbid indeed

He actually posts so often that neither of those numbers can update fast enough to reflect his true number. The profile one updates more, so it is closer to his true number.

Maybe I'm missing the joke, if so, please ignore. His shown postcount goes backwards while profile shows reality.

Read the rest of this thread. Your question has been discussed probably on every page of the last 50 or so pages. You'll understand then.

You expressed confusion. "what's wrong with TDL" could easily be interpreted as the fact that his postcount is going down.
I apologize for misinterpreting, though.

Apologizes on my side, its 5 am here, so most likely the fail was mine.

God that's so true with those kind of threads in general. I didn't even know TL had a policy on it because I never so much as click on those things, but Im glad that we do!
