Ask TL Staff Anything - Page 221

Even though I have the ability to edit and update TLPD, I have only done so on a few rare occasions. I have given a few players from GSL pictures for the TLPD and updated a few akas. I think I also added the korean name for Bel'Shir Beach on there as well.

But I am in control of the major tournaments (GOM and NASL) for Calendar / SC2 Liquibets (I believe someone does NASL for calendar, but I add them to liquibet). I believe Roffles does the BW ones. I along with a few other staff members will close any event that is over, and accept/reject submissions to have their event on the calendar. It's only a few hours a week, and I enjoy doing what I can for the community.

Since motbob is taking some time off, I'm also taking care of the R&S Thread for GSL. Although this isn't something that only staff can do, I wanted to do something more for the community and picked it up when one wasn't created even though it would have started within a few hours.

I know there are other staff members who do much more work than I, and they should be praised for their hard work. Every day I'm amazed at the sheer dedication that many of the staff members have for the community. There is rarely anything that is late, and many times once something is announced, there is a news post, or a feature that is added to the site. Whenever something is upcoming, the staff is already on it and trying to figure out the best way to implement it to the site.

There are always new things coming out and even more in the planning stages. It's an honor to be able to work with them (if you can call what I do work, it's more of a fun hobby for me) and every time I meet them in real life I have nothing but admiration. One day I might be able to contribute more to the workings of the site, but even with what little I do I'm glad to take some work off the shoulders of other staff members and I would do even more if given the opportunity.
