I think there are a lot more like you Tommylew. I'd love to meet more UK Starcraft players. I keep an eye on the UKStarcraft.net site and I'm planning on taking part in some of their lower level tournaments. I'm silver league. I also e-mailed in response to their article asking for more people to get involved with the site, but haven't heard back yet. I think that might be a good way to get more involved with the community. Has anyone been to the iSeries LANs? There's going to be a Starcraft tournament at the LAN in Newbury in April. I can't attend the whole LAN but was considering getting a spectator ticket for the finals of the SCII tournie. Does anyone know if it's a friendly kind of event? I don't think any of my gaming friends will be going so I'm wondering if it would be possible to just turn up on my own and meet some fellow Starcraft fans.

While we do play SC2, we also play alot of DotA/HoN and WoW. That's good to hear. I'm a UoB graduate myself, but it's a few years ago now (I'm 30). I live up in Staffordshire now, about an hour away from Birmingham. Do you know of any gaming events being held in the Midlands? How did you and your friends meet up?

The iSeries LAN are generally pretty decent from a spectator PoV, I cant see any reason that you wouldn't be able to find some like minded SC2 fans to hang around and chat to if you were at the event yourself. Also I believe that the guys from ukstartcraft.net will be around at it as well, so might be a good chance to get your foot in the door as such, and see what you can offer each other. ![]()

I'm 99% going I43 with my CSS team What's your CSS team called? I used to play that game A LOT ![]() UK scene is pretty much non existent tbh, rather sad Even the irish have a better sc2 scene than us xD I dont know much about the Irish SC2 scene, but I'd like to think that from what I have seen, the Uk scene is just taking a little longer to find its feet, and is slowly starting to grow, but I guess we'll just have to work together and try take UK SC2 to where it needs to be. ![]()

I'll have to second this. Every time I've been to Troc there's always been at least a couple of people messing around in 2v2 or FFA or just watching other players.
