Hi everyone. I'm from Cambridge, East Anglia. It'd be cool if there was a more a organised SC2 movement in UK eSports. It may be dominated by FPSs at the moment but that's only going to change if it starts with discussions like this.

Membury: it will start with threads like this, but its also going to take someone organising something like an event. I live in Colchester, so not far from you in Cambridge. About the only regular SC2 event that I know of takes place once a week in the Trocadero in London. We have a gaming centre in Colchester, but it is sadly only xbox 360 so its full of people who don't want to play pro evo or MW2 at home. If people fancy a game at any time, practice partner/for fun: feel free to add me wychwood969

Just to say, due to TSL hours and my work hours I won't be hosting another TSL finals party this year. Someone else please set one up. It's amazing fun and it's the only tournament where we Brits have a good time for a get-together (10am for Korean Events isn't good party time)

Ah shame, the TSL 2 meetup was great (and so close to me!). Flicky is right, someone should really try and set one up.

The UK has always been a CS:S country though the CS:S scene has been dying in the last two years and I think is making way for SC2. To be honest I've never seen so many UK people on TL.NET since SC2 came out.
Anyway if anyone wants to add me on EU I'm LeeJ.204 or you could PM me with your details.

We now have a public teamspeak server for uk starcraft players. So feel free to come and hang out. It's only 40 slots at the moment (we paid for 50 and should have that sorted soon).

i've seen alot of guys from the uk on here, i just dont think theirs a big organised scene. i dont kno what it's like in mainland europe is their a scene based around country/language or is it a wider european scene?

If there's a more up to date thread I'll post there (the other UK thread here seems to be more esports related), but I might as well put my name somewhere:
BlackShadow 927 Plat
Feel free to add me people, but I only really play 2 or 3 nights in the week and a bit at weekends.

Shit, anywhere in berkshire? got a small ring of players in Ox that chill/play together, mostly students, skill levels between gold and diamond, occasional tournament and the like. I actually just registered after 4 months of lurking to say I'm amazed there's anyone else in Bracknell who plays SC2. Anyway, I find the same problem a lot of others seem to have - Quake/CS and other FPS games became pretty damn big over here a long time ago, and I only know a couple of people who actually play Starcraft.

Hi guys, was just wondering if anyone had seen this:

Not sure if it's been posted on TL yet, but no harm bringing attention to it again!
I only wish I didn't work on Saturdays

Yeah the UK has a couple of social stigmas surrounding PC gaming. It is for "nerds" and isn't really that common. Everyone as an Xbox 360/PS3 and plays COD or Halo on a basic level. Almost every PC gamer plays CCS. Oh yeah and Fifa and Pro Evo soccer and all that bullshit.
I know about 4 irl friends that play Starcraft, we aren't really full time players though. We mostly live around the South and don't know many others that play, so we usually just play amongst oursevlves.
