Lunch will be at Nakwon, which is right next to YK to the north
It's that time of year again (whenever I feel like) boys and girls! This is probably gonna be the last BW focused LAN so make sure you show up if you can 
Where: YK Internet Café 5582 Yonge St. It is located just south of Yonge & Finch. Look for the Xerox building (it’s right on Yonge & Finch) which is just north of YK, and Shopper’s Drug Mart which is right next to YK. It is 1 min South from the Finch GO Station if you’re planning on taking public transit.
When: Saturday, July 17th, 12:00 PM (noon) – approx. 8:00 PM Tentative -- may change the date around if the majority of people can't make it
What: Same thing as last time. Bring your own mouse/keyboard if you wish. Bring headphones since they only have speakers. We’ll be meeting at noon to eat lunch somewhere (tbd) and go for 5 hours starting from 1, eat dinner, and go for a few more hours if there's enough interest. The tourney will be for BW, but I will try to arrange for them to have SC2. No promises though.
Cost: Lunch should be ~$10,l dinner, $10-20 depending on where we go. I should be able to get the same deal again at YK so it should be $10 for 5 hours plus a free can of coke (or equivalent). You must return your card before leaving otherwise there will be a $3 charge for each missing card and other people (i.e. me) will have to pay 
We will be eating korean food for lunch and dinner is undecided.
We're going to have a tourney as usual and I'll buy dinner for JFthe winner.
I can pick people up in Vaughan. Keep in mind that if you want a ride back from me, you're going to have to stay for the whole thing. If anyone else is driving and can give other TL members a ride, please post in the thread so we can set up pick-up points for guys who need a ride. If you need any clarification or want to discuss anything, pm me for my msn. I hope the turnout is as good as our last LAN.

Confirm me and my cousin. I can drive people out of Mississauga, but it's a one point pick-up for all the people who want a ride, e.g. Square One or Erin Mills. Got 2 spots, just in case we all bring our own equipment.

I randomly talked to Soda who's in Jeju doing his army service... reminded me of the good times at these lans. i had a lot of fun at the one soda came to, and the one where we were in some back room with 2 tables awkwardly introducing ourselves.

- 2 table korean restaurant where XDawn flaked
- the one we played a shit load of third strike (i think this is the same as the 2 table one) and XDawn flaked
- the one we went for lunch upstairs at that japanese/korean restaurant and XDawn brought his girlfriend and then flaked
- the one we went for dinner in some korean family restaurant after walking around forever and getting our reservation canceled at that bar. i think this was the one soda was at? also I can't remember if XDawn flaked but I think he did.
how many have i missed since those?

Wait, there must be 3. Because 1 of them I showed up with someone, 1 of them I drove infinity, and 1 of them I showed up late. Ahh it's all a jumbled mess >_<

Would it be alright if I joined? I am newer to starcraft and haven't really played the original. I would be perfectly alright with not being able to come as it would probably be a wasted spot that someone who can actually play would use. I'd probably end up just watching, not sure. I live 10 minutes away from the lan cafe.

I played at two TFL lans. I remember losing at the first TFL lan really badly to Paul (soda's brother), he was really really good then! It was worth it even though the entry fee was 40$. Good experience In the second lan only 4 players showed up and I won, but the prizes were really bad and it was also BYOC They also decided to make a 4 player tournament last 2 days..T_T

i'm VERY interested! and i can drive if need be, I have room for 3-4 people in my car I live in Grimsby, Ontario so i could pick anyone up from Hamilton, Burlington ,Oakville, and Toronto if need be. Yea well I went to alot of those lans, but was a wc3 player then. But I didnt play much rts since 05, but when sc2 beta started, pretty much started playing sc2, and got plat solo in a week despite pretty much never playing bw, lol

I remember way back when in a London(ont) WCG Qualifier, there was some crazy talent at hand. Paul showed up with Arikin and Pride (the first and last, were doing a Team Canada game in between matches at the event). There was a lot of others too, I almost shoutcasted most of the matches too, but the host couldn't install the program for me.

Now I Play SC2 and have been playing on ICCup (With reasonable success actually) during the downtime. This ICCup time makes me wish i'd just played broodwar all those years.

Kipling to Finch should take about an hour, I have no idea how long the GO will take. From my experience, the GO transit is faster and also more comfortable.

Didn't mean to come across as hostile, just funny thoughts, loosing 5 buck on Jaedong to him was worth the fun it involved.
And trying to earn money from SC regardless just seems to pop up from him as I remember watching his youtube channel looking for donations, the time he bet 60 bucks he could double his subscribers, then the Finals, just amusing.
I wonder if Combat will have to log on to his Youtube channel to prove who he is this time as well.

The lan place is very short walk from Yonge + Finch TTC Subway, across from the street where wcg 2003 toronto qualies were. Their are a bunch of parking spots, around probably something like 3$ an hour, and I got several parkings tickets their back in early 2000's when Future Shop use to be their, its now a Shoppers Drug Mart.

i've honestly looked around Toronto/Mississauga and no place is really as big and/or as accessible as YK, although they cut down on some computers i think since upgrading their billiard hall, the place is for sure ready to go for a quick say round of 16(32) player tournament at the least

Ideally we'd have 40 computers with both bw and sc2 but that isn't the case, unfortunately. So the logical decision is cutting out sc2. I haven't played bw in months myself but I'm looking at this as a sort of farewell to bw.

If my memory serves me right they had two 8/9 Ball style pool tables. Then there was like a couple Korean style carom tables which are the ones with out pockets your thinking of, you play games like three-cushions, balk-line, or straight rail.

I end up dropping him at 11.30 we got so lost ended up doing circles around CN Tower, when I drop this kid off he lives in some suburbon fucking maze, I ask him for his number incase I get lost so he can guide, kid ends up not saving it after he enters it. So thank god for Naeb yo, theres no way thats mississauga where I dropped u thats some next shit.
