I'm a bit confused, what exercise are you doing? As a rule, you should never lift too heavy; the second your form suffers, you're wasting your time.

We have 4-5 inches separating us, so I hope I can keep it down to 4 meals? Although my vegetarianism may mean I need to up the meal count. I'll admit that I have a problem eating three square meals a day. I tend to eat one or two gigantic meals per day, just because it's such a pain to cook new meals all the time.

However, I do want to be able to successfully accomplish things like manna, planche, iron cross, etc. As a 6'1 guy do you think I am going to need to be a certain weight to accomplish them, or will I still be able to have enough muscle even if I am eating something like 1500-2000 calories a day? (my weight has dropped from 171 to 164 over the last 3.5 weeks) So.. can I have that kind of extremely low calorie intake if my body adapts to it, as long as I get enough protein ? Maybe I could eat mass vegetables and then some things high in protein with it?

Instead of cooking 1 meal of say 1/4 lb chicken, cook a whole pound and use it for several meals throughout the day. Height has nothing to do with it, everyone should eat ~5-6 times a day. Dimsum sick videos...you look small then throw up that huge fucking weight above your head, thats really impressive ^_^ Do you usually do pretty well in competition? Also my lower back has some kind of weird pain that i can only feel when i round my lower back, i think from when i deadlifted 455 (maybe use belt next time? or just not lose my form lol). Like i can bend over and go into a squat etc but if i let my back un-flatten (dont really know how to explain it besides that) and touch the ground it kind of hurts/feels weird. But not prohibitively so. I dont think its muscle either. Any ideas? It seems like it's been getting a bit better over the weekend.

Obviously the author is not a scientist or anything, but it just rings so true for me.

I've always been very flexible since doing gymnastics at a young age. I usually do dynamic and static stretching before rugby practices and stretch out my hammys/quads a bit before i squat or run. Other than that not much.

I have been eating less(especially less high glycemic carbs), primarily as a result of smoking less weed. It's also been a goal of mine, to have as little desire/need for food as possible. However, I do want to be able to successfully accomplish things like manna, planche, iron cross, etc. As a 6'1 guy do you think I am going to need to be a certain weight to accomplish them, or will I still be able to have enough muscle even if I am eating something like 1500-2000 calories a day? Bodyweight training actually has an interesting quality where you tend to drop weight, but look leaner and in some cases bigger. All I can say is that as a > 6' you probably don't want to drop below 160. You're going to have a bunch of mass in teh end to perform high level strength moves so even if you still have excess fat I would still maintain weight, and let the intensity of the training slowly change your body composition.

![]() I usually take my time stretching before my workout since I have tight hamstrings. I used to jog to warmup, but then I got lazy and stopped jogging lol.
