I think that part of it is also my original affliction of pneumonia; the scarring could have left my lungs susceptible to further infection, no? I think that for now, I'll cut out fish oil completely until I get better. At that point I'll just take 3mL/day. For the vitamin D, I may back off it completely to see how long it takes me to get better. Unfortunately I took 20,000 iU yesterday to try and carpet bomb this cold, but for the next week I'll probably take either none or 5,000 iU. I still have the 5,000 iU tablets from before. I'm not sure about it being stress. When I got sick this time, I wasn't stressed out at all. I had already finished my finals and was back to sleeping 7-8 hours a day. One other potential cause of this could have been my intermittent fasting. You said that not taking in enough kcals can weaken the immune system, right? Well, I think I'll go to the hospital today to get antibiotics. I absolutely have to get better by this Sunday. Other than antibiotics, cutting out fish oil, and lowering my intake of vitamin D3, what can I do to get over this faster? The basics are probably just sleeping and eating enough. | ||

My knees hit the ground before the barbell was off my back. It hurt so bad ![]() Fueled with rage I improved my press to 57,5 kg but my PC suffered a lot. Couldn't stop pulling the weight up with my arms ![]() Now my knees. hamstrings and lower back feel trashed. Fuck my workout life. Edit: and funkie, you are like the most unlucky guy ever ![]() | ||

worked more on my C&J still feeling around for a good catch/good position to jerk from. got 245 a few more times and by then i was exhausteddddd. Probably do some squats tomorrow for the first time in like two weeks or something. 4x415? EZ @eshlow, last couple days have been really thirsty, kinda felt like my throat was dry. laid off the vitamin d yesterday and it feels normal again. been at around 80k a week or so, what do you think i should take? (6'1 ~92kg). Also do you have any links to whole milk awesomeness? Thanks ![]() | ||

I didn't get any video of the lifts today, but I did get one of a 90kg clean on monday, maybe DimSum can take a look at it: Got a little bit of arm bend, hips rise too fast in the first pull, not quite complete hip extension, catching a little bit too wide. Also I did not shout, that was some weirdo. | ||

I don't know if Pat can do it. I know the doping controls in the US are much more strictly enforced and his competition totals are way below his training totals. Just getting 200+230 in London would be huge for Pat. I can see him winning gold in the snatch at a world championships one of these years, but I really don't think he'll be Olympic champion. If he makes it though, weightlifting might finally get more popular in the U.S. We need a hero like Michael Phelps who nobody can ever shut the fuck up about. | ||
