on a side note, i think i was operating at a level 38923x higher than i am now over the summer. Lack of proper nutrition, sleep, too much rugby&drinking, not enough lifting, and an irregular schedule makes me feel like total shit. I felt like superman all summer and now i feel like a waste of space ![]() Fuck school ![]()

Yeah I've seen this one before! ![]() some guy from the youtube comments A lot of people don't realize how impressive this lift is. His first attempt with 246 failed, and his second was successful with 248. At that level (around the absolute max) to increase the weight after failing is extremely difficult. 2 kilos feel like a ton when one is maxing out. Yet AFTER failing, his lift was good. But then he went from 248 to 258. A stunning 10 kg increase (22 lbs). If you barely make 248, to be successful with 258 is beyond remarkable. His courage at doing 258 is legendary

Also trying to fit in starting strength with my kickboxing, hard to combine cause i'm hella slow the day after an intense starting strength session and get my ass whooped badly. Bought some Vitamin D in a drugstore recently, thought it was alright till i found the calculation from mcg to IU and realized it only got 400IU per pill which is nothing compared to the 10.000 IU pills in Eshlow's article, guess i will order those next time ![]()

Mid-foot strike or somewhat of a forefoot strike is the best. BUt you gotta take it slow when transferring over because it's easy to get overuse injuries. And yeah, you want a higher dose of vitamin D than that if you're not out in the sun a lot.

But yeah i think the general consensus is fore/mid foot. Landing on your heel = shin splits

Heel strike has higher propensity for orthopedic injuries because its improper biomechanics for how our bodies have evolved.
