I'm in love, can I do those thingies too :O!? I want to do Clean and Jerk so bad. But I'll wait until I finish Starting Strength (which is at the end of november :D!). You really pump me the fuck up Dimsum!. Btw, today I went and did Squats with 90kg, which took nothing from me, I'm sure I can do 100kg, or 110 without problems, but I'm just watching for my Adductor here. Did press with 54kg and Powerclean with 54kg too. my PowerClean today, was so perfectly. A guy came to me and asked why I was doing Olympic lifts and whatnot, and I told him all about SS and stuff, he said "that's some sick awesome shit dude!". he's a Bodybuilder so yeah, it was pretty nice to hear that from him, he said I was strong for my weight and that I should never get down on it, he said that the more I workout the more stronger I'll get and the better athlete I'll be. ![]() I don't know, today was such a good day!. YAY! :D

Squat: 65kg -> 118kg Dead: 90kg -> 150kg Bench: 65kg -> 92kg Press: 45kg -> 66kg My bad workout today may have been because I missed a workout on Sunday (I had the most serious bangover of my life), but I haven't been progressing too well lately anyway. My last reset was done with squat at 106, and it only moved up 12kg after that... not great. Oh well, on to the Advanced Novice Program I guess. Here are some final Starting Strength pictures of the upper body: + Show Spoiler + ![]() ![]() Size was my biggest gain on this program, which was kind of the opposite of what I was expecting. I'm obviously no Ronnie Coleman, but I'm feeling like I got a lot bigger from when I started. Edit: Dimsum, you fuckin' asshole. I outweigh you by 40kg and you outlift me by 40kg. Brb, hanging myself.

My coach trained with this guy for a few years and he trains at a gym pretty close to my parent's house. He's a beast of a man and won the world university championships a few months ago. He's recently cleaned 160 and narrowly missed the jerk. All the 62kg lifters are azns lol.

3 weeks in the us with no training and bad nutrition and my lifts have gone to the shits. I managed to squat 100kg(225lb) for about 6 reps on Saturday, I didn't feel mentally prepared to increase it. Today I failed on 140kg (308lb) deadlift at the 3rd rep. ;(

Brb, hanging myself. If you managed to get that far on basic SS with 1.5 dl days/week, you've done very very well. I had to move to advanced novice with dl at like 300lbs and squat at like 240. Advanced novice program has lasted me quite a while so far though and I really like it. You don't have to do the chinups/pullups as written if you don't want. You can pretty much switch just your squat/dl to advanced novice and choose your own pulling motions on days 1 and 3. You can also likely dl every week for quite a while. omg dimsum, squat jerking all the time now!? You're a hero.
