This is what I learned from living in Tokyo, you can find almost anything, you just need to look. For most of the Western stuff, there's a large supermarket near Roppongi crossing that has more variety than any of the supermarkets I've too to in North America. Also, there's a costco outside of the city, and they most definitely carry this kind of stuff.
If you are not in Tokyo, just look harder.
Try 成城石井 (Seijou Ishii) if you see them around.
Trust me, I've looked, and I have tried 成城石井. I do agree with you though, and luckily I live in Osaka meaning I can find stuff relatively easily. However, some things are simply unavailable, especially outside of Costco.
Decaf: you're a monster. I'm looking forward to being that strong.

Fuuuuuuck I'm pissed. My gym is pretty small, only have 3 barbells. When I arrive at the gym some group of kids use all the barbells and I'm like "fine I can wait". 30 minutes later they are still not done and they barely use them, they doing bench press and then are chatting for 10 minutes. I ask them if they can hurry up or just let me have one barbell but NO that's impossible. After I've been waiting for 45 minutes total (just doing some random bodyweight and dumbell exercises) I give up and leave. Fucking kids.

That is why I try to go really early in the morning before the curlers wake up. Also you can always ask to lift while they are resting. Can just switch the plates for them after.

:D
Yeah, today I do. Squats, Press and PowerClean.
I'm doing like 50kg on Press, but it takes like a shitton of energy from me .
Dunno why it takes so much to do the last workset.
Anyway, Powerclean should be 120lbs today, Hopefully :D
And Squat eh 200lbs? sort of :D?

Roar. I'm determined to hang clean and jerk my bw for 5x5 by the end of the year. did 5x 135,155,165, and 4x5 @ 170 And i'm doing 5x5 for bench again until at least 235, started at 205 today which was perfect. And now me and my roomates are starting planche progression. Maybe manna too but it just seems fucking ridiculously hard T_T Did like 5,15,10,10,15,5 (in seconds) to get to 60. Roomate went 30,20,5,5 Bodyweight power here i come!

You take it up with the gym management. People can't hog barbells especially if they're just talking

Fucking kids. i know how you feel man. it's a good thing though in my gym not too many people use the barbells/power rack so i don't usually have to wait more than 10 min. but it's still a pain in the arse when you have to wait.

Fuck you Funkie!
I won't be going to the gym, the weekend left me exhausted,
I'm going to get a good night's sleep and take up from tomorrow.

funkie, what's your weight and height? I just started doing SS after about a 5-month of vacation/recovery/drinking/etc., and our numbers are pretty similar.

Which gym did you go to in Osaka. The gym I used in Tokyo was within my hotel/service apartment so it was small and severely lacking stations/machines. I heard good things about Gold's Gym.

I'm..
165cm height and around 60kg-63kg weight?
You? I haven't weighted myself since I started SS and I'm like one month in, or something, sort of.

Wow, I'm a lot bigger than you are
I'm 179 and 76/77 (could be less now).
I'm current at (doing proper 5x3) 185 bench 185 squat (my right knee is injured from basketball) 115 press 225 DL
I expect these numbers to go up as I stick with the program throughout this semester

yeah, my press and Power clean, are the same.
My bench is..165lbs. Squat is 200Lbs DL is 200lbs too (haven't done much deadlift). Press and PC 120lbs.
Edit: my squat should be a lot higher but I fucked up my left leg doing cardio and well, I had to reset :/. and Yes I do 3x5 on everything (+ my warmup sets ;P)

Any advice on what to eat? I pretty much know what's healthy but not too sure on what really helps build a person up. All I know is that chicken has craploads of protein, but I can't eat chicken every day (just ate fish, actually).
*Edit* I haven't mentioned that I'm just starting.

meat :D?
drink your gallon of milk / day.
Live by these rules and you should be decafized. or..something like that.

Yeah, like Eshlow said, that's when you take it up with gym management. The little shits can't just do whatever they want because they were there first; the gym must have some rules about actually using the equipment when you hog it like that. My gym states that if you intend to use a certain piece of equipment for over 20 minutes, you have to allow others to come and work in.
You can get pissed off at them all you want, but it's not going to do a single thing. Equipment disputes are best taken up with the staff at the gym because arguing with some idiot about who is entitled to a barbell goes nowhere.
Trust me, I've tried, and I've been in your situation before. If the gym staff refuse to help you, it's a pretty clear indication that you should find a new gym.

My diet: A shit ton of eggs, deli meat, beef, milk, fish, poultry, and of course fruits and veggies!

Do you guys actually drink 1 gallon (3.8 litres) of milk a day? I can do half, max; I also get a little gassy if I drink too much milk. I don't think I'm lactose intolerant though...
