eshlow: back is bugging me again during flexion What should i do? Stretches and such? Keep/stop deadlifting (back doesnt hurt while doing squats/deads)? See a chiropractor?
May be a good idea to hit up a chiro to see if he can find something.
Redundant pain especially not during exercising makes me think something subtle may be off there... if something was really messed up generally tends to be exacerbated by exercise

just had a night out drinking with a few buddies...haven't gotten that drunk in a while. hopefully it won't mess up my gains too much.
but with the way i'm feeling right now (slight hangover), i might have to go light in my next training session.

I always feel better after a workout when I'm hangover

wtf? how do you guys lift with a hangover? i remember i tried once, i couldnt even warmup on snatch. I missed on like 50. Then my coach just told me to go home lol

after 5 days in budapest doing nothing but walk/swim/party on very little sleep, i got home on saturday and hit the gym on sunday working my legs/core and i played tennis for 2,5 hrs in the afternoon..
then for the first time ever i fainted around 11.30 pm, i was talking to 2 friends (we smoked a joint as well..), got dizzy for a few minutes and then it was just like boom, some1 just turned the lights off. I was out for 5-10 seconds then i heard my friends shouting my name and pulling me up, after that they gave me a candy bar, im fine now but i was slightly dizzy/off for an hour or 2, fucking weird experience it was just like falling asleep, not really unpleasent at all
I ate plenty of food during the day as well..
guess my body is under a lot of stress from losing weight and so much exercize..
should I consider resting more or is just something innocent?
ill meet up with a doctor so he can check me out just to make sure..

from my uneducated perspective, it's probably a direct result of the doing lots of shit without sleeping :p i'd recommend resting, i'm not a big supporter of exercising on little sleep, it's ineffective and puts lots of stress on your body
edit: unless you're david goggins

I thought I posted in here before about my cutting goals but it turns out I didn't so I'll just start clean for my bulk. Going for more of a hypertrophy routine as opposed to strength so goals might not be possible. Diet will be dirty with 200g protein but under 3000 calories.
Starting Weight: 170 lbs Bodyfat: ?? 10%? Bench Press: 235x5 Squat: 285x5 Deadlift: ??
Goal Weight: 180 lbs Bodyfat: +1-2% Benchpress: 275x3 Squat: 340x3 Deadlift: 315

why is your squat >> your deadlift?

I'd probably say dehydration...and smoking probably didnt help either

Maybe it's just exhaustion.

went with moderate/light weights on bench press today. my left shoulder kinda got hurt. not the sharp pain during the exercise but more of a dull pain after the 2nd set. proly due to my awful form. i felt so uncoordinated benching T_T
btw from what i've read about benching, they say you have to push your back into the bench rather than pushing the weight off your chest.
so my question is, should i still be able to feel like may back is digging into the bench even if í'm only benching an empty bar? or is this only possible when the weights get heavy??

I'm testing my new 5RM this week. Other than that it's smooth sailing.

your bench form should be the same with any type of weight. When warming up, use the form that you use with higher weights, which makes your form more consistent.

I'm in complete beast mode right now. Took a full serving of jack3d this time and had a steady elevated state of energy for my whole 2 hour workout. Maxed out at 445. Got a shitty rep(only have a vid of this one ) the first time so i did another and got parallel but my back was BARELY stuck and my spotter gave me a tap and i shot up through it. i'm calling it good lol :D Was still feel great so i put on 455 with wraps + belt and got two solid reps rofl. I think i could get ~465 if i was competing. Which puts me competative at the like 170 class rofl. My buddy had some wrist wraps so i realized what an idiot i was for not running to the store immediately and buying some. i repped 5x5 at 205 pretty easily. even did a set of 4 at 225. Wrist didn't feel awesome but definitely manageable with the wraps. Then did a bunch of pull ups (got a set of 15, new pr ) Then i was still feeling great so i did 3 intervals balls to the wall and then 3x70m sprints. My speed and conditioning feel better than i ever have. I will be thoroughly disappointed if i dont literally dominate everyone at my rugby tournament on saturday. This week will take forever. Deadlifting heavy ending up at my old max on wednesday, then maxing out hopefully 485 next monday.
edit: as a bonus my back feels the best it has in a couple weeks.

Tried Squats again yesterday. There's this (pain? soreness?) that shoots up my right IT band after a set of squats. My knees feel a bit creaky too, it may be because I'm not shooting up on my heels. I have a hard time standing after a set. I really don't want to go light, so I'll try foam rolling tomorrow.
I'll tape my exercises tomorrow to see if it's a form problem.
I also discovered that my squat has been high bar all this time when SS says to use low bar. I tried low bar and had a hell of a time trying to keep my chest up and could not do a squat without excess forward lean...
On the plus side, deadlifted 315x1x5 yesterday. Didn't think I could do it, but I pulled through in the clutch and felt really good afterward. For me the hardest part about deadlifting is the liftoff...

Thats the hardest part for all of us Good work dude, it's always an awesome feeling to put on that next plate on the bar and dominate it.
