I have been a passionate gamer since the days of Nintendo, with my first real obsession being Starcraft. If you would like some more back story on myself, feel free to read a blog I posted a couple years ago about Starcraft. I think it encompasses the general gaming mentality I have.
Currently I sit at around 3.5k rating, if that really even means anything. I haven’t played a large amount of ranked games (32 combination solo/team), so I can’t say how accurate that is. Almost half of my ranked games have been with Disruptor, because he was my flavor of that time period.
I enjoy playing a variety of heroes, covering multiple positions. Statistically, most of my success comes from a farming role, or a solo like mid or offlane.
I also play a variety of games. I just finished a full 100% completion of Middle Earth – Shadow of Mordor. I enjoy casually playing games like Diablo 3, Starcraft 2, Steamworld Dig, Rogue Legacy, and many other games. I will likely play LittleBigPlanet 3 with my Wife when it comes out, along with Far Cry 4.
My schedule of streaming will be fairly consistent, which is dictated by my current job.
Sunday, Monday, Wednesday – Evenings anywhere between 6pm-12am CST – Mostly Dota 2
Thursday, Saturday – Evenings anywhere between 7pm-1am CST – Mostly coop games with my Wife, or single player games.
Canadian Holidays – Any time of day, any game.
Long Term Goals:
I aim to quit my regular 9 to 5 job, within a year or so. I don’t live an extravagant life. I enjoy simple things, and my current work-life balance just doesn’t support that. To support my share of the household, I will run my own computer consulting/repair business, and would like to stream/entertain on the side. My wife is extremely supportive of this and I can’t thank her enough.
Short Term Goals:
Currently at my job, I work with people who have literally no shared interests with me. I love technology, and that’s why I work in IT Services. They are all 10-30 years older than me, and in much different parts of their lives than I am. I find myself getting increasingly negative in a lot of life’s aspects, and I think the atmosphere that I am in on a daily basis is largely contributing to that. I game a lot right now, by myself, and I would love to have a community or group of people to interact with on a regular basis. This seems like a great way to do it.
I would like to hit 500 followers before I complete my first All-Hero Challenge. I feel like I would need to play roughly 216 games to complete this (50% win rate). 216 games x 40 minutes/game, is around 144 hours. Only around half of my time will be streaming Dota, so that gives me around 6 months to hit my goal.
FYI - I likely won't play any music on stream, as I have found its nice to let the viewer listen to their own music, and it often distracts me while playing.
If anyone has questions, tips, or comments, please feel free to post them here, PM me, or chat with me on stream.
