basically, as a support you can still do shit early game even if the carry sucks
good luck getting any farm if your supports are bad (and the enemies are good)

And that's why I usually play role 3 to 5. Hard support on CM, SD, Jakiro, etc. Or offlaner as WR, NP, DS, etc... I throw in the occasional pugna because why not? He is fun as hell to play, and pushing down towers sub-2min is fun as hell.

I instant random and call my lane at the start of the game in AP, RD it depends of when I pick, SD I pick last or instant pick if there is a heroe I really want to play, AR is AR.

No one's implying that, you forget that this is the QQ thread, where we share stories about bad situations, which in a game like DotA is very rarely "A got a whole jungle of mud golems which inadvertently made me lose". We had no carry so I grabbed Antimage (because between Huskars dunking and nyx's nyxing they would have fun). Went bot with Visage.
Had to be the best visage that wasn't me, let me drink his salves, got courier, bought wards, and best of all, when NS and Undy started going on about how I'm not helping right as I grabbed Bfury, went on mic and told them off because he believed I could carry them against their 3-core. And I did. Thank you for believing in me, based bro Visage.
I could say without a doubt that he's a better support than I am. As often as I rag on about supports taking last hits and not warding, I follow my own rules as well. And that's it. I can buy wards, give you farm, and occasionally stack camps. But after the 30 minute mark I'm about a 950 hp paperweight, maybe having a stun or two I can contribute with.
When I'm a carry, I can contribute by blinking into a fight, popping manta and right clicking things to death. When I'm the support, I can go to put down a ward and oh wait there's lion doing the same, anyone got a sentry? What a awful day of DotA, I lost my cool for the first time and I've played this game for a year now. To top off my 6 loss streak I had my first courier feeder in my team ever, sucked pretty hard when everyone else were so well-mannered, summer brings out the idiots it seems.

between the (muted) TA constantly spamming "Well Played!" whenever someone would mess up, the Enigma who told me to buy a pair of hands with my midas, the NS that gave up on the game 15 minutes in (even though we were leading) and the 1-15 Dark Seer who spoke nothing but russian, I really just...don't want to play the game anymore.
the nice side to this game is that the entire reason the other team won was because Earthshaker and Disruptor ripped shit up. Seriously wrecked faces. Supports winning games is something, I guess they were also pretty mannered

queueing with 3 others, so 4 in total, losing horrendously to the biggest 5th person feeds uve ever seen. 3 games in a row.
First game, lonedruid offlane dies 5 times before 10minutes, 1 of them being a buyback port in realize bear was on CD die again sequence.
Second game were trilaning me on dazzle, friend on morphling, last dude on lion. we get first blood against mirana slark. lion leaves the lane. slark mirana proceed to come back and throttle us because morph used the first blood money to go for midas, assuming lion wouldnt just leave the fking lane. he was level 1 AT 8 MINUTES. literally walking inbtween mid and jungle. 4v5's are hard.
Then finally we random doom naix. I pick an offlaner, other guy goes mid. our 5th picks none other than enchantress and fights with doom over jungle while naix gets 2v1'd bottom. she bought the recommended starting items ( smoke basi) and never used the smoke, never left the jungle. Came out at 12 minutes after blaming team for losing their lanes to feed their mid a couple times before shutting up.
Needless to say we took a break and waited for a 5th man. Match making needs some serious overhaul. I actually was watching dendis stream with him complaining hed rather have 30 minute queues then play with these players. Nice part though is after getting a 5th later that night we won 4 games in a row. Good way to go to sleep.

It's decent if you're ahead but it's usually better to get hood then rod of atos(assuming someone else gets mek) then agh.
