so you approve of people not knowing how to play their lane?

Yesterday i played with a quite good player who knew what to do and how to play despite also being muted. It seems that skilled people just get muted and retards continue to play the game freely while reporting everyone who say anything bad abou them. It reminds me of little kid going cry to his mother. I think i have the right to tell someone he is doing mistakes (stop fucking feeding are you dumb?), when he goes somewhere alone and get picked off 3 times in a row in late game. Seriously people with 1000 games played should know this, but no he does the same stupid bullshit 3 times in a row. When you tell him to stop doing it, he goes report blablabla and the sad part is that some people listen to him. ![]() Yesterday I wanted to teach a friend how to play the game. He's literally never played the game before apart from watching a couple of gameplay videos, so I decided to make a new account and play a couple of very low-level pub games with him (I wasn't going to smurf, just stop him from dying a lot). Anyway, matchmaking takes 3 seconds to find us a match, all good so far. I check the profiles of the enemy team and they are all at level 1, never played a game before. Should be a nice practice game for my friend then, right? Nope. Turns out it's a 3-stack of smurfs, Invoker, Wind Runner and Bounty Hunter. They were clearly on teamspeak together and they tore our newbie team apart. I tried to defend but if I stood under a tower I would get force staffed out into a cold snap/shackle/sun strike. And then they would tower-dive and take out anyone else nearby. They dragged this out for about 50 minutes before they got bored and finished. How sad is it that they feel the need to ruin the game for new players just to have a sense of superiority? When I asked them I was just told that "smurf is life".

Maybe you should check your definitions of "worst" and "best player". Those don't exist per definition. Each role, each hero, requires a slightly different skillset. Being good at one role doesn't imply being good at others beyond a very basic level.

Making a new account is really annoying because of it because matching MMR's to IP is really retarded considering there actually might be other players on the same IP that are new players.

Surely you know how hard it is to kill Slark? Yes, it's pretty easy with crits in the 1000+ region once Shadow Dance wears off. Dark Pact also doesn't have 100% uptime, once I get off SK's stun I get slowed and blinked on.

Valve has the right idea though forcing the tutorial for newer players. Making a new account is really annoying because of it because matching MMR's to IP is really retarded considering there actually might be other players on the same IP that are new players. The problem I have with the tutorial is that all it teaches them to do is get da last hits and play da super cool carry heroes. Not helping with what they really need, explanations of roles and concepts. I had a BH come lane with me (PA) and after asking announcing that he would pull and I deliberately told him to stack first, didn't even try to stack, pulled a single camp, and then when I explained how that pushed us faster, he responded with "why would I know that I'm not some kind of pro" Son we're in trash tier MMR, not even the smurfs are "pros" but this is supposed to be common knowledge. It makes my wins all the less satisfying knowing who it is I'm beating. On June 24 2013 21:13 FairForever wrote: Most people think thy're the best 50% of the time... even people on TL. And quite frankly, I'm OK with that. Most people here have done their homework and are put in the class of people who didn't because the yeacher saw that they all had a low average. Anyone can look at someone having a bad game and say "You're bad" or "Stop feeding". It's another to be able to actually see where the mistakes were, analyze them, and be able to form a solution. Which no one wants to hear because either they're stubborn or non-English.

MMR changes pretty quick on new accounts anyway. Definitely way quicker than on older accounts. I got a personal account and a new account that I'll be using for inhouses and stuff. My new account was playing "High" games before my main account was, and queues into High/Very High at this point whilst my personal account only queues into Normal/High. So even if you're trying to deliberately smurf you won't be able to for very long. And now, QQ time: On June 24 2013 18:34 Vaelone wrote: Show nested quote + On June 24 2013 18:18 Shaella wrote: On June 24 2013 17:15 Firebolt145 wrote: You're the best player on your team 20% of the time. 20% of the time you're the worst player on your team. Lets face it, it's a shitty feeling dragging your team down if you simply can't carry the game, and it sucks even more doing your support duty and having absolute trash carry. Last night. Single Draft. Guy on our team immediately locks Luna. "I carry guys, get supports." Ok, fine, whatever; Luna is a good carry and you seem confident about her. I've got the choice between Magnus and Warlock anyway so I've got really nice teamfight possibilities. Rest of the team picks. Undying, Silencer, Tusk. Oh god this teamfight should be good. Silence > Tombstone > Snowball > Eclipse + Golems. Other team has a half decent team too but their main carry is Void so much easier to shut down than Luna and I can just Golem the Chrono if necessary, right? Go top with Luna. He starts autoattacking. I ask him to cut it out and LH only. "I want the push the lane!" Gets a really fast level in glaives. Ok fine. IDK what you're doing but you seem to have a plan. Lets roll with it. I try to stack couple mins in but can't, creeps not spawned. Blocked. I tell Luna I'm dewarding because camp is blocked but there's nothing there when I drop my sentry and creeps spawn, guess the wards ran out waste of gold but oh well. Luna: "How did you know?" Ok...alarm bells ringing there...surely this guy knows creeps don't spawn in a blocked camp? He dies. And dies. And dies again to their CM + SB lane. I can't do much and because he's just constantly autoattacking he's always too far from safety. I stack and pull but instead of helping to ensure both the creepwave and neutrals die he comes back and just autoattacks the neutrals, leaving the wave partly alive and pushing even more. By this point he's just got treads. Ok...where's his Aquila or Drums starting? Or at least his Morbid for HoD if he wants to play it farm heavy? Then he makes some reference to "minions" and "turrets". I check his profile and he has less than 50 games played. And he dies some more. From there it was just downhill all the way. Tusk was constantly, constantly just dying because he was away from everyone else most of the time. Luna kept dying all the time as well. At one point running after a half health Tidehunter whilst he was on something absurd like 200 HP and flat out dying to the Ravage. I asked him what he thought he was doing running after a Tide with ravage up on so low health...the response? "I didn't realise he had ravage up." Completely missing the point that there was NO WAY HE WAS GETTING THAT KILL ANYWAY, EVEN IF THERE HADN'T BEEN RAVAGE HE'D HAVE DIED TO GUSH. So he builds a Yasha right after treads. I try to explain to him that he needs to rush up some small items like Drums and an Aquila fast if we're to have any chance because we need to start winning fights. And suggest that he really needs a BKB after that because we're getting destroyed by spells. He starts bitching me out about how he got his Yasha for his Manta and about how mean I'm being by suggesting items. Then he decides he wants to fight me IRL so he can punch me in the face for being mean to him. I stopped listening at that point. We died a horrible, horrible death whilst Luna finishes at 35 mins with Treads, Yasha, HoD. The only bright spot was watching the Void on the other team constantly miss his chronos and go for the good old "18 minute midas, 24 minute battlefury" build (guesstimated times but they were VERY late; I think he left a bunch of it in his stash for some reason whilst building up). Most ridiculous part of this is the game before this one I was Void and had an amazing team supporting me, giving me all the space in the world and letting me superfarm up both Midas and Battlefury in about 16 minutes for an easy win. Game after this one I had a bunch more low-games played players up against a team with hundreds of wins; but we won hard regardless because of just generally great play by my teammates. Oh matchmaking...you fickle mistress...

I don't approve of people raging incoherently at others but I can see why they're driven to it. I played in a game the other day where we were really behind and under siege. What we had to do was hold out for long enough to let me on Drow get massively fed and then just go kill them with a couple of teamwipes and pushes. But the one thing annoying me literally all game was the Bristleback on our team. He had an absolute deathwish. Constantly off by himself. "Bristle...keep back and stay with the team." "Bristle, man you're going to get ganked PLEASE get back." "They've all missing and they have a Clinkz with Orchid...YOU'RE GOING TO DIE. TP BACK!" He actually didn't die as much as he should have because the other team was terrible (once he got a double kill before dying because they decided to go in one at a time). But it was really bad for my heart just watching this guy wandering around the enemy creepwave on the other side of the map with the rest of our team in our base and missing enemy heroes everywhere. If the other team had been more competent he would have fed a ton.
