Hi there. Okay, I'm advanced user just to get it our of the way, but for the life of me I can't make my router work.
So I have a Linksys SPA 2102 phone adapter with router, this is from my cable network and this is what I've been using.
I want to connect my Konig WLan router so I can have a wi-fi network which others in my home can use.
Problem is I can't make it work at all. I've tried setting my router as the main internet source and connecting the lan to the wan on my linksys, I've tried to connect it to the lan to my linksys, I've tried to connect my Linksys as Wan and connect from the lan port to the Konig wan or lan port and in no way does it work.
So I need help on how to be able to setup this router?
I've done it before with the sort of normal cable modems, that have the basic wire, from that modem I've linked the wan port to the lan on the router and its been simple.
With this setup its so weird.

did you just buy the Wlan router?. you're bad at explaining stuff can you make your Konig WLan router work on its own/alone/without the phone adapter?. normally it's: internet provider cable ->wan Konig lan->wan SPA 2102 -> standard phone/fax

I also can't make it work on its own. I have a LAN type internet connection, think its DOCSIS 3 standard that my ISP have. Its with the login screen that you have to login every once in a while.

I also don't really get what's going on
+ Show Spoiler +My setup is internet socket - modem - cable between modem and router
then stuff connected to router and it works. That's not a "cable" connection though, it's FTTC

i'll give you some general guidelines since i can't connect everything you're saying ( DOCSIS 3 is a cableTV standard; authentication with user name/password is required for PPoE DSL access. those are not really conflicting with each other but i don't really know which standard goes where)
still, this is valid for every internet connection: - you take the internet connection settings your ISP gave you and stick it in your Konig WLan router; those settings can be found also in your SPA 2102 phone adapter wan settings. that should get your network set up for lan and wifi (no phones). - only after you get that set up and working you move on to your phone adapter. here, remember all the settings it had (you need to be able to set it back to how it was in case you screw up) before changing them. reconfigure the phone adapter wan settings to allow the connection to your Konig router lan (ip/gateway/subnet mask/dns server). (i'm not familiar with the SPA 2102 so i don't know if it can configure itself via DHCP and such)
you said you are an advanced user. i don't know what does that mean but this is not that easy to set up.
Edit: @Cyro - users don't have modems here. it's - fiber optics into ISP modem which is per apartment building then through UTP cables to users routers. the UTP is split 2ways, phone and internet lines, when it reaches the user.

My current Linksys is through dhcp and its got a dynamic IP. Thing is I can't access my Linksys, I don't know why but it is impossible for me to get into my Linksys configuration file.
I've set up the IP adress and default getaway from my Linksys to the configuration page on my router, and I've connected my main internet cable to the router WAN port, from there I link from LAN1 to WAN on my modem, and of course LAN2 to PC, seems like there is still an issue.

Check out the DD-WRT Wiki. They should have documentation for how to set up what you want to do. It will be about DD-WRT and won't exactly apply to the software on your devices, but that might actually be helpful because DD-WRT exposes all kinds of weird functionality in its menus, so there will be a lot of details in the explanation.
Find what you want to do on this overview page here:
http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Linking_Routers
After trying to understand what's going on, try to translate the described settings into what's in the menus of the software on your actual devices.
Just seeing what the parts of your desired setup are actually called might also help find a guide on the website of your router's manufacturer.
EDIT:
This here is what you want, I guess:
http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Wireless_Access_Point
On that page, the short description for how to set that up is this:
If you want to connect two routers with an ethernet cable, so that all devices connected to either of them can communicate with each other, plug an ethernet cable into the LAN (Not WAN) port of each router, set the IP to the second router to the same LAN IP address as the first router PLUS ONE (eg. 192.168.1.2), disable dhcp on the second router, and set it to a different channel as the first.
The "set it to a different channel" part is about when both routers are wireless routers. You'd ignore that with just one wireless router.

If you are going to make the linksys outbound gateway then the Konig has to accept static local address assignment from linksys "gateway". That way you can access both layers. Then the Konig is just a wireless bridge.

I returned the "gateway" from my cable company and bought a basic modem.
If you can flash the Konig definitely install dd wrt.
My set up is modem > ipcop old pc > wireless linksys > wireless users. I run dmz on the old pc.

I ended up calling my ISP, they registered the router WAN MAC address and instructed me to set it up through DHCP with dynamic IP adress.
