That's added motion blur. It's very extreme though in twitcher3, but then again they have it on for the consoles which dip to like 20fps and are capped at 30fps
The simple act of having low FPS (well, any FPS really - but it's very visible when comparing high fps vs low) and/or a low refresh rate monitor creates motion blur because of the way they present images vs the way that our eyes track moving images

the cost of developing "super detailed" games must only be rising right, now we have the technology for it? because "filling in" that detail comes down to art developers rather than technology. like you want super detailed textures on everything then u need more artists to draw them. like looking at some screenshots of twitcher you can see the mcs' textures are incredible but the npc textures/clothing are really shit/basic because they didn't pay artists to create them ("modders will do this for us")

For some things, yes. There are a lot of ways to improve the game world and experience though without that much artist time.

Hello TL
I need some help picking a PSU and a motherboard. I'm aiming for a ~$800 build.
Processor: Intel Core i5-4460
Video card: GeForce GTX 750Ti
RAM: HyperX Fury DDR3 1600MHz 8GB (2x4GB) - Is 8 GB sufficient or should I aim for 16 GB?
Harddrive: Seagate Barracuda 1 TB HDD SATA 6 Gb/s
SSD: HyperX Fury SSD 120GB 2,5"
Case: Corsair Graphite 230T Midi Tower
Power: ??? - Is a "Cooler Master B500 ver.2" sufficient?
Motherboard: ??? - ASUS B85M-G? Or do I need a better one?
Suggestions to the build are welcome.

4GB has become quite limiting in the last 4-5 years but 8GB is fine, especially if you have a motherboard with 4 RAM slots and use a 2x4GB kit (so can use 16GB in the future if you want more RAM without a system upgrade/change)

Are we living in the same universe here? How on earth is Skylake's iGPU going to be faster than a high end dedicated graphics card?

We are indeed living in the same universe, but that universe is one where you are confused by AMD's (and nvidia's) misleading naming schemes for laptop graphics.
An r9 290 tri-x costs about $250 and is around five to six times faster than an M370X when overclocked moderately on air.
That's not cutting edge high end any more - The pricing reflects that, as does Nvidia's (and AMD's card to be announced/released in under 2 weeks supposedly) being a solid 1.5x faster.
-----
Broadwell and Skylake's iGPU's are nowhere near high end dedicated GPU's - but an m370x is nowhere remotely close to even an upper midrange desktop GPU now.
Suddenly iGPU is a significant threat to low end desktop graphics or anything equivalent on laptop (most of the lineup, actually - look for comparisons against a gtx750 or 260x, at least)

Thanks for the explanation, I had no idea. I'll be keeping my eyes posted on benchmarks in the future before making a buying decision then.

unfortunately no depends a bit on what you want to do with the system in the future though (future GPU's etc)

i5 4690k, asus z97-a. Default overclock settings in bios seem to be 4.4ghz.
Getting bsod 0x0124, tried every solution so far except for increasing vcore, because I don't know how to. Which overclocking guide should I follow to get this right?

ew 750 Ti ew that's like Skylake iGPU level performance =p
like i'd rather ditch the hard drive and get a 290 or at least a 280x or something. under GTX 970 nvidia really isn't worth it

750ti is alright, a 280 or 960 is better

My cpu didnt crash under 30 minutes of prime95 stress testing. Thanks for your help.

Hello all, my brother's graphics card just died on him so we are obviously looking into a replacement. With a price range of around 200 being what we want to spend, which card would be a better value a GTX 960, a R9 280, R9 280x, or R9 285? This is nothing fancy just 1080p gaming so I figured there isn't a real benefit going up in terms of graphics cards based on the games that he plays.
Thank you in advanced for any input.
