I've been reading up some more about the powersupply of the CPU and GPU and wonder if my case will be cool enough for both. I've decided to go with the GTX 650Ti Boost Superclocked. Superclocked 650Ti (Max 268W/Idle 91W) (Source (Dutch)) and the i5 4670k (Max 84W/Idle 33W) (Source (Dutch)). I wonder if the Fractal 1000 with the one stock fan will be able to keep the system cool enough, or if I should look for another case or maybe add another fan? It seems fine with a heat production of 200W (Source (Dutch)) but I couldn't find 400W test results. Or am I on the wrong track regarding Watts -> heat production? I've found the Cooler Master CM 690 II Advanced (USB 3.0) and it seems to keep really cool, but to be honest I like the design of the Fractal 1000 way better.

There is lots of room for fans and the sata bay in the top is great if you use it. But these days I would avoid it, its too open (the entire top and front is mesh) and lets too much dust in. Overall not a bad choice if its cheap, with cases get what you like the look of imo. Cases mostly affect building (which you only do once) and only slightly affect temps. edit: Fractal 1000 is mATX only, cant put an ATX mobo in it. You need an ATX case if you are going with the z87 d3h.

That Coolermaster case you are looking at is much more expensive than the Core 1000. You can also get something like that from Fractal Design. It's this one, Arc Mini R2, comes with three 120mm fans: http://geizhals.de/fractal-design-arc-mini-r2-mit-sichtfenster-fd-ca-arc-mini-r2-bl-w-a964423.html I couldn't find it on that .nl price search site you used. If you start to look at pricey cases, also take a look at the Fractal Design Define Mini. It's built around the same metal parts as that Arc Mini, but it has a door and noise dampening and ships with two fans instead of three.

I'm just worried about the temps for the Fractal 1000 as it comes with only 1 fan, and I'm not sure if it can handle the heat produced by the CPU and GPU as described above, but then I'm also unsure if I'm doing this W to heat production right. I don't necessarily want to look at other cases, but as said I'm unsure whether the 1000 can handle it. Because I'm entirely new to building my own system, I wondered if someone else could confirm my doubt, or if I'm overthinking it.

You will have to look into more if you are overclocking. You'll need case fans that add up to similar power as what's on the CPU cooler and GPU cooler at that point. The Core 1000 is also a bit too slim for large air coolers, which seems annoying. It would actually be a serious problem, I think. This thing might be a good choice: http://geizhals.de/fractal-design-core-3000-usb-3-0-fd-ca-core-3000-usb3-bl-a1006045.html It's ATX size instead of mATX. It comes with three fans and has the PSU at the bottom. It's two extra 140mm fans and their price might make a comparison to the Core 1000 actually somewhat fair. EDIT: Looked it up, I think the "Thermalright Macho 120" for 35 € will be the strongest air cooler you will be able to fit into the Core 1000. The Core 1000 might overall be best choice. Your PSU is a bit weak so you won't ever have super strong graphics cards or heavy overclocking anyways.

I'm not sure if you followed along, but I went with the XFX Pro 550W in the end because I'm planning to do some overclocking within time. I'll never be going for extremes though, and from reading your comments, I could just add an additional case fan in (or even two) on top of the after market CPU cooler I would be getting at that time. Thanks!

That cooler is special, has short height compared to 120mm fan coolers from other brands. You won't have much choice with this case.

I really like the case. Very simple, very nice, clean design. The CPU fan is oriented towards an exhaust so that helps with cooling. It feels really sturdy too. However one thing that confused me about the case is that the front fan of the case is blowing OUT of the case. If I put my hand in front of the front fan, the air is pretty cool. Does that really help keep the case cool? Btw Metak, when you build your stuff, try to plug in as many cables into the motherboard as you can before you put the graphics card in. xD
