As some of you may know, I like to play around with crypto mining. One coin I started mining was Helix coin, which uses a new miner unlike the one I've used before. However, using this miner at high intensity causes even the mouse cursor to lag quite hard. So I decided to install the HD 4600 graphic drivers, for fun, and see if I couldn't mine with the GPU at full intensity while using integrated graphics for web-browsing and stuff. Interestingly, mining indeed works as I get a hashrate, I hear the fans spinning and I can feel the card getting warm. So in theory, the card is indeed working. However, I also get this: ![]() I'm not sure why but I just can't monitor anything or set clock rates and whatnot. The fan doesn't seem to be turning too fast, nor is the card itself hot, so I'm not too concerned. But I'm curious as to how I could once again get readings.

Where are you buying from? You probably also want 2x2gb or 2x4gb of RAM (two sticks, not one, for dual channel) and at least ~1600c9 (higher mhz is better, lower cas latency is better, so 1600c9 is better than 1600c11)

This is better than the other ? i dont afford the 2x2 or 2x4 gb ram , i just wanna your opinion about this sistem , its good for sc2 and the new games or its not good . I'm from Romania

What is your current build? amd phenom II x4 945 his radeon iceq turbo 5700 SSD + HDD Some random 550 watt power supply What is your monitor's native resolution? 1920x1080 and sometimes 2nd with 1440x900 Why do you want to upgrade? What do you want to achieve with the upgrade? Current Power supply is already over 6 years old and it gets too noisy. It's really important for me that it will be very quite and can handle future upgrades of the other parts too. What is your budget? Around 100€ max. What country will you be buying your parts in? Germany/EU

Probably some Intel chip and geforce graphiccard. I usually don't go for that high end stuff just good enough to play newer games. ah and i was thinking about overclocking but didn't look into it yet either. Don't know if this matters.

One of the higher-quality lower-noise designs is Cooler Master V550S (V650S also available): http://www.mindfactory.de/product_info.php/550-Watt-CoolerMaster-VS-Series-Modular-80--Gold_935043.html However, with higher ambient temperatures and higher power outputs closer to capacity, it's somewhat loud. Same goes for the Seasonic G and S12G, which are also good, but they ramp up under load a little bit earlier I think. If you're planning on using over 70% or so of capacity (i.e. overclock the Phenom II X4 and get R9 270X / R9 280 / GTX 760 and load everything), I would pick something else. The Seasonics and Cooler Master use a mediocre 2BB 120 mm fan that runs at under 650 rpm for lower loads. If the rest of the system is hardcore quiet optimized (good aftermarket cooling on both CPU and GPU, minimal drive noise, etc.) and and you get close enough, that bearing noise could be noticeable. Cooler Master CS and RM are actually quieter at high loads and RM has fanless mode at lower loads, but everything else is not as good and there are more questions about long-term longevity. If you are willing to sacrifice some quality from the Seasonic and Cooler Master for guaranteed lower noise (but not bad or mediocre quality at all), I think, especially in Germany, I would go with be quiet! *At the very least, i expected a source engine game to be fine in this area. The beta was force v-synced (which, among being terrible, makes it impossible to benchmark very well as frames can't be rendered faster than a certain point.. even with a 120hz screen)

I'll be using various dutch stores (SIComputers,Afuture,Azerty Informatique) to buy from, using a site that calculates the orders to minimize the shipping costs. I'm looking to land on 600-650 euro all inclusive. Key thing that i want the computer to be is snappy, and somewhat futureproof. Since i know my mother hardly saves big documents i chose for an SSD instead of a HDD. This is the build i've come up with: ![]() Including shippingcosts it's € 643,69 i3 4330: solid cpu + has the HD4600 integrated card, which is pretty nice since i won't put a dedicated card in the PC h81M-A : cheap mobo that has the functionality i need , it seems Merc Alpha: already built a pc with this case, i quite like it for it's price and looks. CX430 bronze: built 2 pc's with this one, works nicely 840 Evo: good pricepoint, solid performance, enough capacity Oh and i know i probably don't need the extra fan, but i'd like to put one in.

No it's also loud when in idle. I think that the fan is broken. If it's anything even remotely close to mine right now.. then you wouldn't need a quiet spec psu with optimized fan curves etc to get some ear relief ![]() 1ManArmy maybe worth a Kaveri build if you don't plan on using dedicated graphics? It looks pretty good but 620 euro makes me cringe a little even if 250 of that is monitor+ssd

What would be a good APU? Also they seem to have noticeable higher TDP then the intel ones.
