All I've got so far is a i5-3550, ATX Mid Tower Case, and Antec VP-450W. Still have to shop for SSD discount and RAM.

Hmm. + Show Spoiler + My case allows for SSD mounting on the back side of the motherboard plate. I just didn't think about it until after I already had the motherboard positioned, screwed down, and the Noctua heat sink on the processor. No worries, I have three slots in the lower drive cage and even if I take the HyperX SSD out of my old computer I still have the space for my data storage drive.

It's probably built so that you can also mount a 2.5 inch drive on those sled thingies.

If you make a mistake, drop something and brush over those pins in there, your board is broken and manufacturer's warranty won't help you because it's your fault. Everything else seems to be built pretty idiot proof.

Indeed you can, my Samsung EVO is on one now - SSD screws from the bottom through sled to the SSD. I especially like the low vibration screw options for regular HDDs that Fractal includes. Also, yeah... the CPU install and the TIM paste was the most shaky part, in no part because the heat sink is so large I can't even see the CPU underneath it. :D

Unscrew them. Should be six on the rear - two along the top edge hold the top on, two along right and left edges for their respective side panels. You only need to take the top or front off (front pulls from bottom) if you plan on rearranging fans. (I took advice in thread and have two fans blowing in from the front, one exhaust as factory mounted at the back.

__ | Also, the two at the front? Both are pulling air into the case. I'm not daft, I can look at the fans and find the airflow indicator arrows and make sure they aren't blowing opposite directions. ![]() Here's a picture: + Show Spoiler + ![]() Any guru care to give me a suggestion on Gigabyte utilities? Worth installing, Y/N?
