Is this an aspect ratio issue or something like that? Is there a way to fix it?

There can be a slight difference in the size of the icons for xel'naga towers on the minimap, depending on the resolution of the streamer. You can't control this. Is your monitor a 4:3 aspect ratio? I'm unsure what your problem is. Can you provide screen shots or examples of streams that look different? Also, if you zoom out, things will get smaller in my world. ![]()

Here's a SS Screenshot I might just be seeing things lol, I'm actually starting to doubt my own eyes now that I'm actually comparing screenshots..I dunno, I read somewhere that bigger monitors really do see more in SC2 and I always get the feeling that the game looks different for me. Still seems like I'm getting less of the seeable stuff though, other zergs always seem to be able to see the edge of their initial creep when they center their hatch along with some of the uncreeped ground around it, I can't even see the edge of my creep

You can change the game resolution for wide format one resolution but it should be lower than your monitor resolution and you should probably need to find a way of telling you Graphics card no to stretch the image. I tried toying around with the resolutions and I know how to keep my card from scaling or stretching the screen but that only gives me black bars around the edges, I can't seem to actually get the screen to "Fill" the rest when I turn off scaling.

I remember seeing some pro players setup their widescreen monitor to show a 5:4 resolution with black bars on the left and right side, because 5:4 is what they are comfortable with from their WC3 pro-gaming times or wherever they came from (I think I saw that in a photo of DeMuslim playing). The minimap is not as far away from the middle of the screen, could be perhaps the main thing that can make 5:4 better than 16: 9 for some players. So it may not necessarily be bad for you to play with a 5:4 resolution.

Without black bars, the pixels would not be square anymore. The image would be stretched and your mouse pointer would move vertically more than horizontally and stuff. I would guess that would be bad for playing.

You can't get a wide picture, correct aspect (for viewing) and no borders at the same time on a 5:4. See this for visual explanation: ![]() Source: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=223937
