Possibly bad. I know using my black switch keyboard has lost me games of dota because I think I have shift queued something but I haven't actually pushed shift down far enough to register.
I can see this occurring a lot more with two different switch weights, one being quite heavy.
But its all subjective, if you think it sounds like a good idea then go for it. You can always sell the keyboard and move on if it doesn't work out.

Then I will get one that's primarily blues like my old Filco. Thanks!
|
I have a full green keyboard and am perfectly happy with it. I however feel that mostly blue with only 1 green isn't a good idea. The stiffness of green can easily be gotten used to. However having the extremely light blue switches as a comparison makes the stiffness way more noticeable and possibly very annoying.

Check out TT Esport's newest, the Poseidon. Backlit Blue LED MX Blues.

So... Does anyone know why every Mechanical keyboard except for the Razer ones are more expensive than the American versions here in the Netherlands. Also we don't really have a wide variety of keyboards. (Razer, Corsair, CM Storm.) in the major stores that's the end.
I took a Filco with me from my time in America but it is falling apart And I'm now going to try out the Razer Blackwidow, but I've heard a lot of negative feedback about it, is that just because it is a general popular keyboard and they have standard negative feedback from haters or is that feedback really justified?
Because I see a lot of pro players including people that are sponsored by different peripheral manufacturers use the Razer Blackwidows so I guess they prefer it over the Steelseries ones etc.
Pls help. xD

I've been using a Blackwidow Ultimate for years now, never had any issues with it, built like a tank, could probably stop a bullet if I tried.

Around 140 euro's, which is what the Blackwidow is here in my local area.

The Blackwidow is pretty infamous for being a common but bad quality mechanical keyboard, 9/10 threads with any kind of issue with a mech board is a blackwidow

I mean that is well above what it retails for here. You could get pretty much any board and have something left over for that here, is eBay not an option either?

Well, I don't really like eBay but I can give it a try, but the only other option for blue mechanical keyboards here in the Netherlands is a Ducky Shine for 180 euro's lol......

Anyone mess around with the Ducky Shine 3 yet & get a chance to compare it to some other keyboards? I'm seriously considering buying one...
Tried googling some recent reviews but to no avail
The only issue I have with it is the snake on the spacebar, but I guess I can just replace it.
|
I can imagine the only difference between the Shine 2 and 3 is the LED features and the different space bar based on everything I've read and seen. Everything else seems just the same. I love my Ducky Shine, but I'd only get one if you're a back-lit enthusiast with a bigger wallet since the Ducky Shine 3 is quite expensive.
Edit: I believe MechanicalKeyboards (the website) offers both the snake keyboard and an alternate spacebar, but don't quote me on that. I'd contact them if you're interested.

This is due to sponsorship. A lot of teams are sponsored by Razer so they use their peripherals and get them replaced if they break. The Razer BWU is not bad, but it doesn't have a good history in terms of stability so money is wisely spent on better keyboards.

I need Tenkeyless, also I have no use for it being backlit as I'm a touch typist. I'm shooting for either a Filco Majestouch-2 or the Ducky G2Pro as I've owned both and I know there's real quality in those.

Sup everybody, so i've had the CM storm for a week now and im getting pretty used to it, nice keyboard overall.
Untill this morning when the keyboard decided to die on itself. I thought it was maybe the connection on the ps2 that was fucking it up, but atlas the USB doesnt respond whatsoever either, any other keyboard works fine.
So i guess im going to go return it and see what i will do, don't really feel like getting another one after this, but living in the netherlands its pretty hard to get my hands on a brand such a filco =/
Does anyone have any suggestions? Many thanks!

Having trouble, usual EU trouble and really don't know if I should spend £120 on a keyboard compared to how much I would get it if I was a US citizen.
EDIT:
Been looking at brown/blue switch Das' and Majestouch-2. Caved in blind when intoxicated and ordered a Filco Ninja Majestouch-2 MX Brown but had to return it because I got it tenkeyless (I can't live without numpad) and couldn't replace it for the non-Ninja equivalent as they only get back in stock on the 16th of September. I'm getting a refund but I really don't know if I should bother looking for a mechanical keyboard anymore, I'm stressed and can't find what I want for a reasonable price. I am literally depressed because of the price of keyboards, haha...
What I'd like to ask is, what options do I have? What decent alternatives are there?

You could get one of the cherry keyboards for like 50 euro. Otherwise I dunno what is available

I didn't realize how spoiled I was in the keyboard market until I started perusing this thread.

buy a Cherry G80 3000 /Cherry G80-3000LSCDE-2 and you have a good mechanical keyboard.
Q = soft = MX Clears S = klick = MX Blues P = linear = MX Blacks
G80-3000L(X)C(YY)-(Z) X = click type (P = linear/black, Q = soft/clear, S = click/blue) YY = layout (DE = german, EU = US with euro, GB = UK etc) Z = colour (0 =' white, 2 = black)
