Almost. Big news is it has dampening for a quieter sound.

http://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicalKeyboards/comments/111jbw/logitech_g710_listen_on_amazon_not_for_sale_atm/

That orange around the macro keys is really ugly.

But I guess more competition in the keyboard market is good.

yeah. Also i don't understand why they have made it so that it looks like it has been cut out and then been inserted again. If you know what i mean. Small gaps between. I don't like it.

Other than that i think it looked pretty good. Except for that volume scroll and some other stuff (they should have ignored the macro keys). But i would imagine it feels pretty good using since Logitech usually makes quality stuff.

Does anyone have any thoughts on the Max Nighthawk X8? I don't see much reviews for it and this thread doesn't talk much about it. But I hear it uses different stabilizers compared to the ducky brands.

Does it really make a big difference? Anyone own one and has an input on whether or not its worth it?
I love the sense of camaraderie when an entire line of cars teams up to prevent a dick from cutting in at the front. Stay strong, brothers!

Graduating from university and starting a new job at a large company soon. Environment is cubes for everyone, so I'm worried noise from blue switches will annoy people too much. Anyone have any experience with this? I like blues a lot, but I don't want to get them if I will be known as "that guy with the loud keyboard." :/

Well most people would say that it's best to check with those working in close proximity if it's alright with them, if it's not you might want to look into dampening them using o-rings, that seems to help quite a bit.

Maybe people are afraid that you'll smack them across the head with your 5kg weighing keyboard :p

I have o-rings on my blue switch keyboard and I can tell you it doesn't do much as the sound comes from the clicky side. I'm still digging my browns with o-rings though. They're pretty quiet for me and have not had a problem so far with any of my roommates when using them.

Seems weird you need 2 USB ports for it though?

If that's true then maybe it's for the extra button they added on top and the volume bar thing. I have no idea. :|

maybe it has some audio and usb ports on it. I dunno.

This is a pretty cool looking keyboard and it doesn't go overboard with the design. It comes in black and red cherry mx switches.

Where is the best place to get o-rings fitted on keyboards? Is there a retailer that sells mech keyboards with o-rings already on them? also, do o-rings change anything besides the sound?

The only e-tailer I know that fits o-rings for you is wasdkeyboards.com. Just to let you know, I bought 100 o-rings from my local construction store (fastenal) for 1.72 CAD. You could by the o-rings from wasd keyboards as well. they are 20 dollars I believe plus shipping and handling. You should buy a key cap puller or you could make a home-made one.

I HOPE they are genuine Cherry MX switches.

The other variations of this OEM design had clones.

I still wouldn't get blues though. O-rings help with the dampening for bottoming out but the clicky sound from blues comes from a little switch-like thing that gets clicked when you hit the key, before bottoming out. So o-rings will get rid of some of the noise but not the distinctive click that blues are known for.

I really like the look of that. Logitech should look at it to see how to use orange properly.

I can't wait for my (next) mechanical keyboard that I'm gonna mod out. I'll be one of the few people in the states to own a Leopold FC700r, and from what I heard from the Elitekeyboard guys, it'll be awhile before it's easy to buy. Massive thanks for jpak for helping me import it!

The plan is to remove the browns and swap the brown stems out for clears, or the "ergo clears" mod. It's far and away my favourite mechanical keyboard switch and with the semi-death of my original leopold, this will soon be my main traveling keyboard. I'll be picking up the keyboard itself this Saturday, so I can give more info on the stock feel and features when I get it.

I pretty much said that >.> Anyways I got my o-rings from WASD. They're the .2mm o-rings.
