I have been using a 40" hdtv as a monitor for a little while now, and despite my best attempts at denial, I can no longer overlook the fact that the screen is too big for me to use while sitting 2-3 feet away.
For aesthetic and practical reasons, I don't want to deal with long USB cables. So I am looking for a wireless keyboard/mouse solution that will allow me to sit at least 5 feet or so away from my screen. But I also don't want to deal with batteries...
Anyway, I found this solar powered wireless keyboard for $47 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004MF11MU/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?t=slicinc-20&tag=slicinc-20&ie=UTF8&m=ATVPDKIKX0DER
...and that seems good, but I can't find a battery-less wireless mouse. After some brief research, it seems like they aren't available? Did I miss something?
I also found some "wireless usb hub" things on google but I can't seem to find any information about them other than the very brief product descriptions. Do these wireless usb hubs have an AC adapater I can plug in or do I need batteries for them? Will a mouse/keyboard combo work properly and reliably through a wireless USB hub?
If I missed anything, does anybody happen to know any better options? Or even better, have product recommendations? Again, I'm trying to find a solution without batteries. I'm not trying to save money, it's mostly just convenience and reliability, so price is not an issue unless you send me to a $1000 heat powered mouse or something crazy. Thanks in advance.

Why don't you just get a longer HDMI cable and keep your PC closer to where you sit?
Easier, and probably cheaper in the long run. I know an HDMI cable isn't super cheap per se, but compared to new peripherals...

I don't want to do that because it'll mess up my desktop layout. I'm not trying to save money, I just want it to work and still look nice without having a desktop PC randomly in the middle of my room

There's a rechargeable mouse, best I can think of is something along those lines honestly.
I really doubt there's enough of a market for anyone to make something like those flashlights you shake to charge in a mouse.
The solar keyboard is probably your best bet, but make sure to find reviews first, sounds a bit like a gimmick niche type product, and those don't always have good quality control.

There are mouses with rechargeable battery. You can play with it all day and when you go to bed you just have to put it in the mouse dock, basicly like a wireless (house)phone. I used to have one like 5 years ago, I dont really know if they are still making those, but I cant think of a reason why they shouldn't.
[edit] ninjad on the mouse.
My friend could review that (or a solar powered) keyboard a month ago and he said it worked perfectly. Cant really say anything about the longevity.

@Malstriks
I just looked up that mouse and it seems it comes with AC adapter charger. Is it practical to leave the mouse plugged in and charging while using it?
Either way that looks pretty close to perfect, thanks for the help

How do you suppose it would transmit signals without a power source?
