I'm rally trying to find out what dpi/cpi pro players used. I was under the impression that Starcraft players used very high sensitivity. So I started using 1800dpi with 6/11 in windows and 51% in SC2 (1920 res on monitor), even though I'm used to playing FPS games with low sensitivty. I'm however struggling a bit with my precision so I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong or if I just need more practice with this sens. It would be great to see as a refernece what the pro's use, especially the ones with insane micro skills like QXC, MC, MarineKing and so on.

Every pro gamer is different. Some progamers have it on like 3600+ and others have it under like 800 dpi. It just depends on how they like to play. If your interested you should interview players and make a spread sheet. I'm sure alot of people would want to know what progamers play @. I know qxc plays low dpi and he has a huge mouse pad. But then again hes moving his mouse over the whole mouse pad.

I just realized now, before reading this topic, that ive always been using 400 DPI. I changed to 800 DPI now to get used to it, and damn its very unusual for me. Im used to the Logitech mx518 mouse since im an old FPS gamer and its great, but I felt like I wanted a true RTS mouse with the claw grip so I just ordered the Zowie MICO.
I dont understand how one can play with anything above 800dpi.. there is no precision at all IMO lol. And yes I got 6/11 in windows, 5/10 in Logitech SetPoint, 51% in SC2 and 1920 res.

im happy with 1200 dpi, g9x sensor is very good, i think most korean progamers who uses g9x uses more than 800 dpi. Those who uses 800 dpi usually stick with g1.

Most pros use 400 or 800, it would probably be rare that they use 1:1 ratio with over 1000 dpi. I'd bet money that none use over 2000, though. Of course your precision is low with that high of a sensitivity. Try keeping sub-1000 and you'll be fine. : P

1600dpi is also a fairly common setting for mice... I use that on my MX518 and it's been pretty easy to adjust to. Playing Osu! definitely helps!

I use 1600 DPI for normal usage, SC2, and most FPSs, and I dip down to 800 when I'm playing as a sniper (TF2, etc).
