Well, I can't imagine a use for a stress test if it doesn't induce maximum stress. Bear in mind, though, haste isn't a reason for using a faster stress test. Efficiency is while iterating an OC upwards. For a real stability test, nothing can compete to a longer run, no matter what you use.

I'm currently looking for an SSD to put onto my pc to upgrade the speed and performance, but I'm not quite sure what brand/size is currently the best. I plan on putting my OS (WIndows 7 Pro x64), SC2 and BF3 on this drive. I then plan to format my old drive (Seagate Barracuda 2TB) and use it for storage. Any help would be appreciated! Intel or Crucial. Current generation. For SC2+BF3+Win7+Pagefile (yes you're fine running this off your SSD, don't be fooled by scare talk, the performance is HUGE too.) You'll want 120GB-ish. 60 is enough for the OS, drivers, pagefile, and smaller stuff like adobe, but I wouldn't be able to cram SC2 or BF3 in there with them. With 120, you should have room for maybe one other game as well, depending on the game.

This may be a dumb question, but I'm new to the whole SSD crave thats going on. Does the SSD mount just like any other HD? Do I need to make sure its the correct physical size to be compatible?

(Newegg prices) And in a weird way, now is the best time ever to buy SSDs, the prices have been getting reasonable, and HDDs going through the roof has brought the $/GB comparison between mechanical and SSD closer than ever.

I want to mount the SSD and don't wanna go through the hassle of buying an after market adapter. Thanks for all the help everyone!

Better to be biased towards performance or value than something subjective.

Here is my situation: my internet runs just fine when I am on by myself. I tested it on pingtest.net and everything seems to check out. However, when my wife gets on everything slows down drastically. Her laptop is hooked up straight to the router, so she isn't on wireless, and yet even her normal internet browsing causes massive lag for me when playing online games. My question is, what is the most likely cause of this? I would think that I should be able to play LoL/SC and she should be able to browse at the same time without the huge lag, or am I wrong in that assumption? Could it be the router? Would the quality of her computer (its old) affect anything? Is it more likely a bandwidth problem? Let me know if you (theoretical helpful/ knowledgable person that I know exists on TL) need more info.
