I've been using utorrent for years, and exhaustively used every other client on windows trying to find the best one. Even though deluge and rtorrent are great on linux, the best client for windows is still utorrent, but only old versions prior to 3.2x.

I shared this information else where and will quote it here... this is the absolute best version of utorrent:

The last good version of uTorrent, before they fucked it all up, was 2.0.4 -- specifically the latest build of 22967:

If you use this version, you won't have the new "stream while downloading" feature... but this is the last version before the team pivoted by changing all the icons, adding plugin support, bloatware features, and generally started the long downhill decline of this beautiful software.

I've been using this version for 3 years with no ill effects on any tracker, private or public

A number of people I know use qbittorent because of a falling out with utorrent (I forget what happened... something something bitmining?).

The newest versions of utorrent have malware tracking that you can't disable... don't use it. Downgrade to 2.x:

qbittorrent is a nice try at an alternative, but the UI is still not as sexy as the old utorrent!

lol this is the first time I've seen a claim like this and there is no substance to back it up. If this was indeed the case, there would be a lot more public outcry and utorrent would be banned from a lot of private trackers.

I think you just missed it. There was a lot of outcry over it as I recall. I believe you could disable it in the options menu, but I believe it was defaulted on after a certain version.

I have this weird problem, where if i have a game open, dota, hearthstone, FTL, sc2 anything.
It stops me from loading youtube videos, the youtube video loads the first frame of the video and then doesnt play. I can see the buffer bar load but my youtube vids dont go forward.

As soon as i close the game program youtube works again O_o why is this happening (has happened for quite a while googling doesnt give me problems that are similar to mine

)
anyone have any suggestion on how to fix this? O_o

I'm having issues connecting to the Battlenet for the original Starcraft. When attempting to connect to any gateway I get the following message: "Connecting to Battle.net" "Connecting to faster server" After a minute or two I'm greeted by the following error message:

"Unable to connect to Battle.net: You may be trying to connect to an invalid Battle.net server. If using a modem, you may need to may connect to the Internet before connecting to Battle.net. For more information go to: www.battle.net/support/errormessages/"

I've attempted all the troubleshooting recommended here: https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/battle-net-connection-issues

Any advice?

What's your system and GPU driver version? though that probably can't help me help you (aside from telling you to update GPU driver, test with and without hardware acceleration on flash by toggling it and restarting browser - and also checking for any laptop power saving stuff with integrated and dedicated graphics)

Finally I can watch netflix from TV app but I have an audio problem. I like to hear sound from av receiver onkyo. I have two boxes plus center. If I watch from TV app, only center and left box is on. If I use over ps3, all 3 are active.

After increasing my GPU's core clock and mem clock by 150 and 350 MHz respectively, with a 120 % power limit, and 50 % fan speed, do I want to increase my core voltage to prevent fps drops during benchmarking?

How do I stabilize my fps to avoid hiccups in games and benchmarking?

If you get hiccups/stutters at OC but not at stock, your OC is unstable.

I've always had hiccups especially in League of Legends of all games when I was at stock.

Then it's nothing that GPU core voltage can fix. Take a look at DPC latency, storage (hard drive) and cpu/cpu throttling

*SOLVED SORT OF*
Specs:
CPU: Core 2 Duo E5700 w 3ghz
Mobo: P5G41T-M LX
Ram: 2GB Kingston DDR3 + 2GB Kingston DDR3 of another model, both PC10700
OS: Win8.1 x64

Alright so I have the PC with the specs above, I decided to toss in an additional 2gb. Unfortunately the old model was not available, so I picked up another 2GB DIMM of the same size from the same company. Unfortunately, the 2nd DIMM is not detected in the BIOS, it's not detected under windows's basic system info, but CPU-Z does detect it.

I know that there can sometimes be incompatibilities when you use two sticks of different ram, so maybe there's no way for me to fix this

. Any other possibilities?

I've tried: Swapping the DIMMs and updating the BIOS. No dice. I'm sort of assuming that either those two DIMMs don't play together, or the board doesn't like them or one slot is shot. The former seems likely, and the latter seems unlikely since CPU-Z does recognize that there is a DIMM in there.

Update: Computer doesn't post with only the new stick of RAM regardless of SPD being on or off (thus showing that I should've tried that). Not sure what to do from here.

Update2: I just switched the DIMM with another stick from another PC and for some reason everything worked. Seems like the DIMM wouldn't work in that specific PC. Not sure why. Oh well.

I'm having similarish problems. bought 2x2 gb sticks of DDR2 ram for an old pc we have and only 3 shows up somehow,

also windows lags really hard. fresh install. there's "system idle time" which is eating up CPU resources, i have no idea what that is. there might be something weird about the RAM upgrade or smt, idk
