Your subscription: You upload with 1 mbit/s = 1000 kbit/s, which gives roughly 120 kB (kilo-bytes) per second. You download with 16 mbit/s = 16000 kbit/s, which gives roughly 2 MB (mega-bytes) per second.
The listing in the router gives reasonable values for such a subscription. It's slightly confusing as it capitalizes the 'b' in 'bit', but since they write out the entire word, the meaning is still clear. All values look normal otherwise.

What's a good graphics card to pull a steady 30 fps in skyrim at 1920/1080 paired with an i5 2500k?
EDIT: sorry, on ultra

My family has an old dx4200-009 gateway pre-built that is completely stock besides a GT 240 that we put in to be able to play SC2.
Specs: X4 9150e 1.8Ghz 4gb DDR2 GT 240 Foxconn RS780 mobo socket AM2+ http://support.gateway.com/s/MOTHERBD/Shared/4006272R/4006272Rnv.shtml Generic crap PSU, case, etc. Windows Vista Home Premium 64bit
Question: I believe the slow cpu is the cause of lategame slowdown (<10fps in 1v1) and I would like to improve performance. I believe the cheapest method would be to replace the current cpu with the Phenom II X4 840 from microcenter for $60. However, the 840 is socket AM3 and I don't know about the compatibility issues. I cannot find any bios updates for my mobo to allow AM3 countability, and I have read about mixed results online-some people claim AM3 cpu's work with the old bios, some not so much. I would like to know the opinions of the resident experts about whether or not this cpu upgrade would work. Thanks for your time!

And what settings? Ultra?
a 6870 will easily average around 60 (smooth for most, some people like more) and you will run into cpu bottlenecking with it.

I got a very small problem since a week or so I guess; when I mouse over thread titles in the side bar, I no longer see the full thread title, as I used to see in the past. Anyone an idea what might cause it?

I just changed back from Classic to Basic Window design in win7 and put grouping in the taskbar back on. How do I change that if I have something with several tabs (firefox, explorer etc.) I can just click the symbol instead of one item on the list, so the last opened tab gets maximized? And sry, i have no answers to the questions above.

This is the problem with prebuilts. Anyone's guess on whether it'll work or not is just as good as yours.

What can I do to try to fix an unresponsive key? My 's' key is really messed up, I have to hold it down for a few seconds to get it to respond, and even then it often 'sticks' and behaves as if the key was held down (even after I have let go). At this point I'm using copy/paste to type out each S... I have a Dell Inspiron 1545.
I've tried removing the key (only the very top part, the key itself, I couldn't figure out how to remove the plastic hinges or anything else underneath) and cleaning it, but to no avail.
Thanks in advance.

The switch itself would probably have to be dismantled.
If it were a mechanical keyboard I would tell you to submerge it in rubbing alcohol while pressing the key and it would work itself out.
I am afraid you might be screwed, your store might be able to service it however. Otherwise you are looking at breaking the warranty.
You could also just try again.
Trying again is undervalued IMHO

Are the high - end CPU fans/heatsink (for example, the Noctua NH-D14) a waste of money? What is actually the purpose of them over the conventional third party coolers such as the hyper 212 plus?

What is actually the purpose of them over the conventional third party coolers such as the hyper 212 plus?
1) Reaching huge overclocks that require huge voltages. 2) Noise reduction.

what is a good, free, easy to use program to capture screens. Related question, would using something like x-split (designed for streamers) be able to screen capture well?

This depends on the processors we're talking about. For Sandybridge, anything above 5GHz and over 1.5v would be considered huge. I guess some people consider over 1.4v as huge as well.

shader cores * core clock is a pretty good indicator if no benchmarks are available, though you can only compare to other products by either nvidia or amd that way
