Without real information, like resolution and intended use, the correct answer is "maybe".
If you're playing nothing more demanding than SC2, probably not. If you're playing BF3, probably yes, unless you're playing at an absurdly low resolution or settings. If you're only watching streams, or you're planning to use a capture card and that desktop to stream off another PC...
In other words, more info.

Does CPU run better/faster on 64 bit OS? I heard it does twice more cycles, but I'm not sure if it's true.

**the difference is being able to address more than 2^32 locations. Memory locations in computers we use are byte-addressable, so 2^32 B = 4 GB. A 64-bit OS allows you to address a full 4GB or greater amount of RAM. So it's not the CPU running faster, but if you're doing a lot of stuff that can take up a lot of RAM and you have the hardware, things could run faster on a 64-bit OS because you have more space to work with. Okay, and also, 64-bit programs don't have a 2GB total memory limit imposed.

I think he might actually be talking about x86 vs x64 (or really x86-64).
There are runtime advantages to 64-bit but not every program is programmed as such.
All modern processors are 64-bit. There is no advantage to choosing 32-bit OS as far as I know. Ancient processors notwithstanding.

I currently have a 120gb faster ssd and a 64gb slower ssd
I plan to install the operating system on the 120gb drive, and potentially install games to the 64gb drive.
How much performance does a game gain by being installed on an ssd?
Would it gain more performance installed on a faster ssd that also is running the operating system, or a slightly slower ssd that would be dedicated to loading the game only?
|
0%
Games only load faster. No performance gains at all.

Of all the custom gaming PC websites out there (I Buy Power, Cyber Power PC, etc) which is the most recommended?

I have one USB port that fails to work, i.e all the other ones work when I plug in a mouse/keyboard except this one.
Its a hardware fault right?

Depends. leave whatever you want plugged in for awhile, your computer has to reinstall drivers for every single port.

Your cmos battery is probably dead and you need to replace it.

I rebooted the computer manually and a couple of thick vertical bars show up during post. If I boot in normal mode I lose all visuals. If neither of those works, start practicing swear words. I don't have canned air. What types of places carry that? I'd order it online but I don't want to wait that long. Also, if I get to the swearing part, does that mean I need a new gpu? Is there a warranty for the old one? Wal mart, electronics stores. And warranty should cover it. But that still involves swearing. It doesn't guarantee you need one, but it certainly means it's reached pain in the ass levels regardless of the solution. Driver updates are good too, but this doesn't sound like drivers. Could also need re-pasting, Medrea has had heat issues from that with XFX cards lately, I believe, but I don't just automatically suggest that for everyone, since it's a bit of a pain in the ass. I tried removing the GPU and cleaning it with compressed air. I put it back into the computer and had the same exact problems at boot. Should I try to cash in on my warranty?
Thank GOD my mobo gives me decent graphical capabilities lol

Yeah, use the warranty. Best if you can just return it, by the sound of things. Apparently XFX has gone to shit. If all you can do is RMA, I'd suggest re-pasting the new one immediately and then monitoring temps for a couple of weeks, since, apparently, XFX has started having quality control issues with cooling.

I remember using thermal paste to attach the heatsink to the processor but I don't recall there being any way to use thermal paste on the GPU. When I was cleaning the GPU a few minutes ago I took a close look but didn't see anywhere where thermal paste could be used (without opening up the device which I don't think I'm supposed to do).

If you can try to get a different model. That cooler is broken in a fundamental way thats causing peoples VRM's (the power supply for your graphics card) to go way above 100C (the failure point is higher but thats still way too hot).
