Do i need more than just the adapter for the second 6-pin plug? And thanks for the quick response!

No that's pretty much all you need. The GPU should come with a bunch of accessories including an adapter.
Edit: Adapter being 2x molex into 1x PCIe 6 pin plug.

Have you read the monitor's literature before asking Teamliquid? Tried changing input selection? What does the monitor screen say? Does it say "no input detected"? Does the power LED light up at all? Is the monitor even on? What computer hardware do you even have? What model number is it? There are a billion reasons why it wouldn't work from user error to an actual defective product.
I know you're "bad" at this but please provide some decent answers/information so we don't have to beat it out of you. Go through step by step and explain how you have set up the monitor and what you have done to remedy the problem.

First guess is using IGP outputs from the motherboard instead of GPU.

Software question, hope it's okay in here too.
Do you guys know any clean up tools that are really good and free? I'm not interested in installing several of these or crappy ones, I'm wondering if there's any speed up/clean up app available that's actually recommended to use by people that know what they're talking about!
EDIT: I'm talking about general tools here, you know, the ones that (claim) to improve boot time, clean out orphaned/unreferenced files etc.

I just finished with my second build and I need an operating system. Before I used a bootleg windows 7 my roommate had, but since then I moved home and did not take that disk. I was wondering where I should get an operating system from. I looked at office depot and I saw that they had $199(premium) and $99(upgrade). Do i need the $199.00 since im not upgrading from a previous os system? Also I looked at MS store and saw 65$ (for students, but upgrade). Computer Specs: 8gb ram i5 3570k 7850 2gb 120 ssd and 2tb hdd

Get the "OEM" version. $99 at Newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832116986
I have a question of my own... I have an i2500k on Z68 as well as a GF 560 Ti. I'm considering adding a third monitor to my setup. Can I somehow use the IGP for the third monitor, as my 560 Ti only supports 2 monitors?

Yeah the IGP can handle the 3rd monitor in that situation. Or at least that's what I read multiple places the last time that question came up.

Does a coax cable slow down with extra connections? I have a coax cable that is much longer than necessary and 2 that are too short but if I connect the 2 then they would work. Will the connection be altered by adding an extra cable? Don't want a slower internet just to clear up some wire clutter. Thanks.

You're talking about the coaxial cable going into the cable modem? And "slow down" is referring to the data throughput over the coaxial cable (generally limited by your plan from your ISP).
I think it's pretty unlikely to make any significant difference, but I don't really know much about the effects of physical connectors on signals at that kind of frequencies. In any case, you can just test it out and see if there is any reported difference in the cable modem with regards to SNR, signaling used, and so on. Even if there were some kind of small difference in SNR as a result, that would probably not change your connection speeds anyway.

Plus, even if it can make a difference, it's assuming that the condition and quality of the cables are otherwise identical, since things like poorly attached connectors and internal damage could have a far higher potential significance, if something like connecting two of them could make a difference.

did you adjust monitor setting to DVI when you tried DVI?

Ok, this has me freaking out... since my fucking lightning strike and ensuing rabbit trail (I do so love you guys, those conversations are fun), my PC occasionally locks up. Feels like a memory/paging related non-BSOD freeze. Unless I have my resource monitor and task manager open. Since it doesn't BSOD, I figured see what flatlines or spikes when it freezes. So it just won't do it when I'm keeping an eye out...
Anybody have the slightest idea what that means, because I've never heard of anything even vaguely similar, unless you count the various times I've seen a PC refuse to duplicate an issue for someone else to help me troubleshoot.

LIGHTNING MOTHERFUCKER
Also check GPU's. See if changing them out or just using one stops the problem.

Nope, GPUs are golden, already mucked with them last night. I'm mostly confuzzled because the damn thing runs fine as long as I keep my task manager and/or resource monitor open, which doesn't make any sense. Makes me want to cry.

Your new PC life. Gaming with resource monitor open.
