Why would you need to upgrade the wifi?

Well if not, there are no alternatives to an ethernet port right?

Well it probably has a wifi card already.

true. w.e. stupid question lol. I was basically wondering if there was any way to get an ethernet cable to work without an ethernet port...but thats prolly not possible lol and a stupid question xD

Yes, it is indeed a stupid question. That's like taking your Xbox along when you go camping and hoping you can plug it into a rock.
Even if it's through an added adapter of some kind, you need a place to plug in the cable, or the cable is only good for slapping yourself with for trying to use a cable you can't connect to anything.

It is possible, you can buy USB to Ethernet adapters. Requires some fiddling with drivers, but they do work, a friend of mine used on one of his older laptops for a while.

Huh? Wtf are you talking about. Most wireless routers also have ethernet ports, and if he didn't have one of those why the fuck would he be asking about it??

He said there was no USB port on his laptop and wanted to know if there was a way he could use standard ethernet cable to connect to his laptop. There is, with an ethernet to USB adapter. You're going on about rocks and slapping yourself with cords, how is any of that relevant?

Change your tampon, then read the specific post I was responding to. Then go back through, read and apply critical thought to the sentence where I specifically MENTION adapters, then realize that not only are you trying to argue the stupidest thing possible, you're trying to argue it with someone who never said anything contradictory to what you're trying to say.
No idea what it is with you, but lately you've been trying to scream about the stupidest things. Try some squats. Or fapping.

I wouldn't buy that at all, but I guess if you could talk him into $250-300 it might be ok value, if an un-optimized piece of shit.

If you're spending that kind of money anyway, look into a coolermaster TPC 812. Costs a little more, but one of the best air coolers on the market. And either one should be fine for just about any OC that's sane for air.

How much does scaling affect performance? e.g. scaling from 1280x720 to fit a very large monitor

so i just built a new computer and for the last couple days everything has been crashing or causing blue screens of death even with the latest drivers and updates. for example, SC2, LoL, even firefox would crash randomly.
Then tonight I checked my memory sticks and noticed they were in the wrong slots (DIMM1 and DIMM3) instead of DIMM2 and DIMM4. could this possibly be a cause for the crashes?

Shouldn't. Some motherboard firmware won't load properly if there isn't a dimm in slot 0 of channel A + Show Spoiler +(I've only run into this with one Intel motherboard, it was the fan control firmware that would crash as it would only load in channel A and I stupidly put the dimm in the channel B slot, it was a BTX mobo, go figure) but there's nothing about the dimm locations that should cause Windows to crash. Take a look at the Windows event viewer and check out the specific error messages.
