Set Afterburner To Start With Windows 7 Startup.

You are my last hope TL. I'm using MSI Afterburner so I can have custom control (i.e. profile curve) over my video card fan speed. The custom fan speed feature works great but there is something I haven't been able to figure out. I want to have it startup with my Windows 7 64-bit on my non-administrative account when I log-in. (And also have it run a specific profile once running)

Does anyone have a working solution? Please provide only experienced, detailed working solutions or provide another alternative program that will achieve the objectives.

Go to Settings for MSI Afterburner. You'll find "Start with Windows" in the General Properties that is part of the General Tab.

You can set up five different profiles, using the 1 2 3 4 5 buttons at the bottom. Scroll over to the Profiles Tab and you'll be able to set your 2D and 3D profiles. You can also set hotkeys for all five profiles.

Have you tried typing "msconfig" into run (windows+r is the short-cut) and from there setting up what programs you want launched at set-up? I don't really ever use a non-administrator account so I'm unsure of what limitations that puts on your ability to adjust it.

You'll probably need an administrator account to do this.

start> all programs >startup folder and drag and shortcut and it'll load with windows
im not too sure if it works w/o admin

Log into your admin account.

Go to the afterburner executable.

Right click > Properties

Check the compatibility tab for privilege level. Check "run this program as an administrator", then do the same under "Change settings for all users".

This should do it... I know there are always ways to designate a program to always "Run as" a particular user, which you could set to an admin if this doesn't work.
