o_O how did you use the intelli 3.0 , It's a mouse with ergonomic shape for the right hand, should have been awkward to use it for you.
Well, anyway, if you want a bigger mouse, there's a Razer Deathadder Left Hand edition, which is pretty similar in shape to the Intelli 3.0 but is made for lefthanders or there is the Steelseries Sensei similar in shape to the Intelli 1.0 but a tad bigger and flatter.

I don't have the Sensei, but I have the Logitech G9x which uses the same laser sensor as the Sensei, the Avago 9500. The acceleration is supposed to exist (1-5%), but it's not noticeable at all, so it's really not a problem.

Think my G9x has broken , randomly stops all the time and changes speed and shit... Either getting a M400 or Abyssus, unless theres a new better optical/infared mouse out .. :O
Also, I've been using that glass like mousepad from Steelseries for a while now. It seems to constantly get like dirty or scratched and it ruins the bottom of my mouse quickly, too. I love the gliding feel of using it though... :O

Also that Glass like mousepad just clean it with water every day or two, it's just a steelseries branded icemat so it should clean the same just fine.

Hey guys!

Thanks in advance!!

So gonna type a little bit about the mice I've used thus far (obviously only my opinion so you may not agree with me)
First up Logitech g500 - HUGE. Probably best for palm grippers and comes with weights so you can adjust. Stable to say the least. But not for me
Razer Lachesis - Very lengthy and works well for righty and lefty. Not good for palm grippers but good for claw and decent for fingertip. It does lock up though where sometimes your mouse cursor will only move vertical/horizontal and the only fix I got from this is just unplug/plug which isn't really a fix if you are playing sc2 :/
Razer Mamba - Really expensive but I prefer the clicks on this mouse than on the Lachesis. Very good mouse for palm grippers and stable and comes with a lot cool features. You can play wired or wirelessly as well with this mouse. Just up to you if you think the price is worth it.
Logitech g9x - Love the clicks on the mouse...feels the best out of the mice I've tried out so far...it's small but not as small as I want unfortunately (even gripless). It comes with 2 grips and you can go gripless so 3 different shapes and comes with weights. Good for claw grippers and decent with fingertip
Zowie Mico - Just purchased it. Because Parting uses it and so does Rain. Both are my favorite players at the moment and the mouse itself is wayyy smaller than the Logitech g9x I believe. Hopefully this is the perfect mouse for me so I can stop spending money on mice.

1. What's your grip style? Hybrid fingertip/palm (move mouse around with fingertips, wrist stays at same spot on desk, palm partially rests on back of mouse)
2. What's your sensitivity? Pretty high, set up so I can move cursor anywhere on the screen by only moving the mouse an inch or 2.
3. What's your maximum budget? Not a concern if the mouse is good enough.
4. Do you want additional buttons? Would be preferable to have 2 thumb buttons, but not highest concern.
5. What games do you play? Lots of different types, but accuracy is mainly a concern in RTS.
6. Do you mind angle snapping? Yes
7. Other relevant information:
Am looking to replace my Microsoft sidewinder mouse which has finally given up on me. Looking for a mouse that is comfortable, as accurate as possible & either has no led's or ones that can be turned off.
Currently considering the following:
Mionix Naos 5000: Seems like it would be the perfect mouse if it weren't for the acceration issues. Ergonomically it seems the most similar to the Sidewinder (has the grove on the right to curve ring finger/pinky around) although haven't seen one in any shop to actually test it. The acceleration issue is really worrying though.
Razer Deathadder: Because it seems to be one of the most accurate. Haven't found any shops that have a display model of it though so no idea if it will fit me well ergonomically. Larger DPI steps than others.
Logitech G400: Included because it is one of the most accurate along with the Deathadder. So far haven't been keen on the shape, seemed to keep almost slipping out of my hand when testing it.
Steelseries Ikari Laser: Similar shape to Sidewinder/Naos. Not sure how accurate this one is?
Which would hurt accuracy the most? The acceleration present in the Naos. or Possible pixel skipping in the Deathadder (due to having to change driver/game sensitivity away from default as the DPI steps are too large) or Angle snapping (have discounted mice that have this so far)
Cheers

I am looking to replace my (now 6 year old) copperhead with either the abyssus, the taipan, or the g9x, seeing as I cannot find any place that sells copperheads anymore.
However I found many reviews via google that claim that the above mice might generate issues if they are used on cloth pads (such as the qck+ that I have). Has anyone in TL used one of these mice on a cloth pad? And if so, did they face any issues?
Thanks.

no issues with g9x on my qck mousepad

Thanks. The G9x if find to be the best one of these in terms of shape and it works completely fine on my Razer Goliathus Speed pad. If you want an even more similar shape to the Copperhead, you can order a Logitech G1 from Korea on ebay, they are only about 25 bucks.

K, so my mouse just died. I had an Intellimouse 3.0 since like forever (my mouse was near yellow ) and i'm looking for something similar Any suggestion? So far, I saw the Steelseries Ikari Laser which seem nice but I'm really not sure. Thx :D
1. What's your grip style? Think its fingertip 2. What's your sensitivity? mid-high 3. What's your maximum budget? under 100$ 4. Do you want additional buttons? need a button for my thumb and and need to be able to press the scroll button 5. What games do you play? TF2, Quake, LoL, SC2. 6. Do you mind angle snapping? not much 7. Other relevant information: I been using an Intellimouse 3.0 optical since like forever (5+ years) and I'm looking for something similar

Ok so here is a quick update on Zowie Mico mouse
This is the first day I'm using it so bare with me
Shape is perfect...it's smaller than the g9x (probably the smallest gaming mouse out there) only has 3 buttons the left and right click and the scroll button dpi changer is quite different than other mouse...you have to hold down the left and right click and use the scroll button to change dpi...this doesn't require/come with software to adjust your mouse
does have built-in acceleration which i have yet to figure out how to disable....supposedly has prediction and you can see it when i hold down the scroll button and move the mouse, it's a bit rough like you can feel the friction between the mouse and the cloth mousepad
the clicks are a lot harder/more resistant than g9x for sure
i'm still trying to figure out why flash/rain/parting use this mouse xD

i'm still trying to figure out why flash/rain/parting use this mouse xD Because it is almost identical in shape to the LMO. Also, the Pixart 3305DK-H doesn't have built in acceleration. It does have positive acceleration when it approaches the MR (at least in the earlier Kinzu/Kana ROM iterations) though idk if that is still the case. Regardless however, for SC most people will likely never hit or approach the MR of this mouse. FPS is a different story however.
Finally, MiCO uses Huano switches which are going to be a little harder than the traditional Omrons that most people are used to.

Hi can anyone recommend a good mouse that would suit me?, i used to use the deathadder which was fine, but the left clicker inside the deathadder seemed a bit fragile, and i think both the plastic inside the left and right clicker snapped, and now i am getting the double click issue etc which is unplayable... So if theres any good mouses that are similar as the deathadder or as good as it, please recommend to me or if i should just get another deathadder please suggest
1. What's your grip style? palm/fingertip grip, deathadder fits perfectly in my hand 2. What's your sensitivity? high 3. What's your maximum budget? under $100, but not too expensive if possible :S, i dont want to spend $90/80 for a mouse if its unnecessary 4. Do you want additional buttons? not too many 5. What games do you play? Starcraft 2 6. Do you mind angle snapping? yes 7. Other relevant information: Input anything else you want. I play at really high sensitivity, so i need a mouse that isnt too heavy but isnt too light either =/

1. What's your grip style? Palm 2. What's your sensitivity? medium-high 3. What's your maximum budget? 150 USD (not included s/h) 4. Do you want additional buttons? left/right mb, middle w/ wheel and 2 on side. 5. What games do you play? Dota2, WoW, SC2, WC3 TFT 6. Do you mind angle snapping? " the mouse input is subtly altered to keep your ‘lines’ straight. " I feel that wouldn't be to helpful for dota2, but you're the expert 7. Other relevant information: I have been using a lazer mouse for 10 years of gaming, and have grown to it so much, I love it, but the right click died. I like the big bulky mouses that had 3 side buttons like mine does now, as i use it to heal in WoW. In addition, there is usually a grove type thing on it like this _) so your thumb isnt on the surface, its on the support the mouse has. Those two things are a must! :-) Here is the mouse that I've been using for 10 years. + Show Spoiler +http://www.dvhardware.net/review70_logitech-mx1000.html

Been a week somewhat so far playing with my Zowie MiCo and it's growing on me.
The hard clicks is fine now for me. Was a bit weird at first just b/c the other mice I used were soft clicks. I think this mouse has the perfect shape of a mouse (curvy toward the bottom) and just fits perfect in my hand.
The max dpi is 1600 so if you play with a higher dpi, this won't be the mouse for you but I'm 1600 dpi user so it's awesome...took me like 5 min to figure out how to change the dpi since it doesn't come with a software to modify your mouse settings.

I have been using the CM Storm Spawn for about three months now and I must say it is far and away the best mouse I have ever used. Before the Spawn, I used MX518 (and it's upgraded version), and I also tried the g9x (the small Logitech mouse). I initially decided to switch from the MX518 because after 4 years of use, I finally came to the conclusion that it was a little too big for the grip type I use as well as my medium/small hands.
The moment I started using the Spawn, the first thing that I noticed is how accurate the sensor is. It just feels so much more accurate then the MX518; my movements and clicks are certainly more precise now. The accuracy of this mouse is my favorite thing about it.
This mouse is made for small hands unless you have a claw grip. It just feels excellent. The mouse has rubber on the sides and it helps a lot to keep a grip on it, there is also a rest on the side for the pinky and although at first it seems intrusive, I really like it now. The shape of the mouse allows me to easily glide it across my mousepad in every direction easily, whereas with larger mice I always had trouble or difference when moving it in certain directions.
The one weakness to this mouse is the poor customization in terms of DPI. Where with logitech products you can choose any value between X and Y, the Spawn only allows you to choose 800, 1600, or 3500. It wasn't a problem for me because I always use 3500, but I can see this as a huge weak point none the less.
|
Also, does anyone have any tips for holding the mouse wire in a desirable and non intrusive place? I am unfortunately forced to use a desk with one of those keyboard trays you pull out. Right now I hold my wire loosely in place with a wire connected to the bottom of the desk and i can feel slight resistance in one or two directions no matter how I adjust it. This really, really bothers me. Please help!
