Currently using a Razer Naga from my World of Warcraft days. Now that I don't play WoW any longer, the keypad is massive overkill.
1. What's your grip style? Palm--I have big hands too.
2. What's your sensitivity? Currently set at 3600 dpi.
3. What's your maximum budget? $60 USD
4. Do you want additional buttons? No more than the usual "Forward/Back" buttons.
5. What games do you play? SC2, League of Legends, D3
6. Do you mind angle snapping? I don't mind either way.
7. Other relevant information: -Driverless preferred but not must-have. -I'm righty and have big hands. -I bought the G400 from Best Buy but I couldn't get comfortable with it at all. I gave up when my fingers started cramping. Returning tomorrow.

Did you try the razer deathadder? Palm grip, closest mouse from naga in terms of shape wthout those extra buttons, and cheap.
Do you mind ambidextrous mice? If not, check steelseries sensei raw!

I am unfortunately forced to use a desk with one of those keyboard trays you pull out. Right now I hold my wire loosely in place with a wire connected to the bottom of the desk and i can feel slight resistance in one or two directions no matter how I adjust it. This really, really bothers me. Please help!

Can also just put a small object near the backside where the cord comes up and wrap it behind that. Ghetto mouse bungie.

The kinzu always gave me cramps for some reason :/ ...
|
I have very bad mouse precision, like, in SC2 it takes me forever to click on the minimap in a precise area. I'm considering buying a decent gaming mouse because mine is a generical 8€ logitech optical, I don't even know the dpi but must be 800 or something. However I'm not sure if this will actually improve things, because maybe the problem is in my hands and it will be a waste of money?
I'd like to know if people who went from bad to good mouses actually noticed a big difference? Also, I'm not sure if dpi is important, because I believe more dpi increases the cursor speed and that doesn't sound good for precision, so I'm a bit confused about dpi.
Any advice welcome.

And I only used it for 3 days :/ It's a shame because in white it looks really badass!

Has anyone ever had a G400 mouse that lasted them for more than 3 months?
Logitech sends me g400 after g400 and every single one them breaks on me within 2 weeks to 3 months. For a mouse with good durability and will last a long ass time, what should I be looking for? Please don't say logitech, as they don't deserve my money anymore.

Obviously there's something to do with the size of your hand and what "grip" you're using. I'm personnaly a huge fan of claw grip, and the muscles on my front arm were hurting me so bad. Now I don't have this problem anymore with my G9X!
This is why you should try a mouse before buying it :D.

Although i don't know a lot of places where you can try mice, and when it does, its only a couple of them

Hey dudes, if you could help me out that would be awesome. 1200 masters player here looking to be better. Currently using Razer Spectre (star2 mouse) but it is going out on me slowly.
1. What's your grip style? claw 2. What's your sensitivity? 4000dpi, might try a little higher 3. What's your maximum budget? N/A I'm rich 4. Do you want additional buttons? no 5. What games do you play Starcraft II 6. Do you mind angle snapping? if it is very low it doesn't matter all too much, can't do high 7. Other relevant information: Input anything else you want.
I like the shape and feel of the razer spectre a little bit. No glossy finish. currently using 4hd mousepad but can change if necessary
thanks ;D

I have just a little advice about dpi you are using. I have been using 5600dpi (6/11 in windows and 51% in SC) for quite a while, but then I experimented and tried to go lower, and eventually got to 1200dpi and I must say its way better. At first I used 1200dpi only for SC and in windows I stuck with 5600dpi, but after few months I switched to lower dpi completely. I heard its better for your wrists as well.
I am not a mouse expert, I'll leave a recommendation to someone more qualified.

I'm not an expert whatsoever, which is why I'm here aswell, but that's just way too low for me. I've always been a high-sensitivity guy, dating back to cod1 5+ years ago. I play at 200-250 sc2 apm and I would never be able to go that low.
Right now I'm also 6/11 in windows, but I have the sc2 ingame sensitivity disabled. I'm on 1920x1080 res, if you're res is lower that's why you prefer the lower dpi. Thanks for the response man.

The Razer Abyssus just continues to blow my mind. I have been using it for a year now, and I can honestly say that this will be the mouse I will use for the rest of my life.
I only paid 40 dollars for it and it's still just so accurate and fast. Most comfortable light mouse I have ever used as well.

I've been using a Steelseries Sensei for a few months now, here's my thoughts on it:
When I first got it, it felt a bit heavy compared to my Abyssus (72g vs 102g according to the OP), though I got used to that eventually. Compared to the Abyssus, the Sensei has a lot more glide due to the feet being teflon and not just plastic. The drivers for the Sensei are also miles ahead. The Abyssus drivers had some fault in them where they wouldn't save after shutting off my pc, which was very annoying.
I really like the fact that the mouse allows for precise adjustments on everything. I tend to use sort of meduim-low sensitivity on my mouse, and I found the customization on my Abyssus to be insufficient. 450dpi was just too low and 1600 was way too high for me. I currently use 650dpi @ 6/11 windows sensitivity on a 1080p monitor with my Sensei, and it feels just right.
On to the features, which the Sensei happens to be completely loaded with. Let's start with aesthetics. There are three lights on it that can all be adjusted to any color you can imagine, which I currently have set to blue and white because TL. There is also a screen on the bottom which is kinda pointless since it can't be seen immediately, but I kinda like it anyways. The mouse is also loaded with other features aside from aesthetics. There are 4 macro buttons, 2 on each side. They are pretty convenient to press, but they are in a pretty much optimal location as far as I'm concerned since they aren't that easy to accidentally hit. There's also an on the fly sensitivity switching button, which I never use but I can see how it could be useful.
Then, there's the ARM processor on it. Someone might think "oh that probably doesn't do much" but that'd be wrong. It makes macros go all the way through almost instantly as opposed to some other mice/keyboards that actually might take more than a few thousanths of a second (I got it to type a-z in .004 seconds as opposed to a lot of other mice/keyboards that did it in a much longer time relative to mine). The mouse can also go up to 11400 dpi, which is a fair bit. There are also pretty much options to customize every single aspect of the mouse including the acceleration, deacceleration, liftoff distance, and polling rate. Yes, acceleration can be turned off. I use 3% liftoff distance currently, any lower makes it feel weird lol...
It also comes with a ton of preloaded profiles from progamers including IdrA, Incontrol, NightEnd, Shushei (LoL), cArn (CS), and markeloff (CS), which is cool since it allows one to see what settings pros use and to actually use them. The Sensei also has on board storage for 5 profiles in case you ever take it to a LAN and happen to be sharing your mouse with 4 other people.
I think that about covers it.
