I want something that resembles the razer salmosa in size and shape. DPI is not important since I use 800. Any suggestions? If I'm not mistaken, the abyssus is suppose to be simlar in size and shape to salmosa. Small-ish, lightweight, ambidextrous, and pretty good sensor all for 30-40 USD is defiantly worth considering. Any thing you read regarding the jitter problems with it are referring to an older firmware, if you get one today you should end up with the newer one that works just fine(afaik). If it's an abyssus that comes with LoL runes it's defiantly a new firmware version of the mouse.

![]() They only cover a small area for some reason (why?) but im still curious as to if this will make using the mouse actuly not as painful as before, because the sensor on the 3.5g is too good to pass up on 1800dpi setting. I would really like to try one of these if the sensor is up to par (not "fixed"), but i cant seem to find any reviews saying anything other than "hurr durr 6400dpi is fast", does anybody have any practical performance information right now? Something like this would be sweet: Im really excited for this, but when i saw the small size of the rubber grips im dissapointed, and worried they will fuck something up with the sensor, as reviewers typically tend to be average guys who have no idea about anything at all related to mouse technology other than "i can grip it comfortably" and "it works well in COD" and the fine details of sensor performance gets very little coverage.

Are there any good mouses currently on sale for black friday/cyber monday for the range of 30-40 dollars that will last around 2 years? I was thinking about the g500, but I've been reading that it seems to have a shelf life of around a year. The abyssus doesn't seem to fit my grip style so not sure about that one either. Any recommendations? Thanks for any help you guys can give me

Thanks for any help you guys can give me I would strongly reccomend the Razer Deathadder (3.5g, or if you feel adventurous, 2013 version, but no guarantees on its sensor being as amazing as 3.5g) Its good for pretty much any grip (particularly palm) and has best sensor on the market

This looks like a really great mouse but I don't think you can use it at 800 dpi. Does anyone know if its possible to use at 800 or close to it? 450 is too slow and 1800 is too fast.

I have had some great advice here in the past regarding monitors & keyboards, so thought i would try with a mouse too. I currently have a Razer Naga which i purchased back in 09 or 10, but it is on its last legs. It has done quite a bit of travelling and probably hasnt been treated in the way an expensive mouse should be. So i am in the market for something new. I have tried to give as much info as possible. - I use a palm/claw type grip, in that i rest my palm on the mouse, but my middle and index finger are arched up for the buttons. - I like mice which are ergonomic, as i use an ambidextrous one at work, and it just doesnt feel comfortable in my hand. - It'll be used for a lot of gaming, primarily SC2, but also some DOTA 2, BF3, L4D2 etc, the typical games most gamers like to play. I have managed to drag myself away from MMO's so i dont need a ton of buttons on the mouse, however, 2 thumb buttons would be nice for internet browsing. - I tend to use my Naga at 1,800 dpi, so i am sure most mice will cover this. - Having just bought my first mechanical keyboard (impulse buy, not really needed), my budget has been slashed somewhat. If i get any change out of £50 id be very grateful indeed! - Im not a brand snob! All brands of mouse will be considered. - Finally, must be wired. I can not be bothered with the expense or hassle of changing batteries all the time. Id be very grateful for any advice you knowledable chaps can share! Cheers Zog

I was using a Steelseries Sensei, until I've had some weird cursor problem (couldn't aim properly anymore, felt like I can't do straight lines anymore always diagonal.) Just bought a new sensei, still has the same problem so I'm gonna return it for refund. Now I have to figure what to use, I thought maybe the Abyssus since it has a similar shape (I use claw-grip really hardcore). I never got the chance to hold one but it felt right, and I don't wanna go back to deathadder I find it hard to click quickly on it for some reason. I use the SS 9HD mousepad (hard mat) Anyone has any thoughts on this it would be very appreciated as I need to practice asap, and I can't for now. Thank you ~

My previous setup was the razer mamba 2012 paired with the razer megasoma mouse mat. I always felt like I never had enough control with that setup. I could move around quickly but not accurately. I just got the new 2013 deathadder in the mail along with a goliathus speed edition. The research I did showed that the control edition is too slow for sc2. I still feel like I don't have that accuracy I want. I just feel like the cursor almost slips a bit. At the beginning of a game I like to bind all of the base locations to the F keys. When I click a base on the minimap I feel like I'm having trouble getting over the center perfectly. I feel like it "slips" a bit. Do you all have "enable mouse sensitivity" enabled in game? I have 6/11 with unchecked pointer precision in windows with 1600 dpi / 0 acceleration in razer settings. Should the ingame sensitivity even be checked? I read that people keep it at 51-54% to maintain 1:1. I can't tell if checking it helps or hurts. The razer software has surface calibration. It has a preset option for the goliathus. If I'm not lifting the mouse does that even matter? Any other advice would be great. Also, what should polling rate be? I got the goliathus for the deathadder because I read that soft pads are better for optical and hard are better for laser. Is that true? Theoretically, which combination should be better for starcraft 2 (assuming that both mice fit comfortably in my hand). The mamba 2012 + megasoma or the deathadder 2013 with goliathus? I wrote the above snippet earlier today and posted it on reddit (to no avail) and since then I've been playing more and getting used to it. I feel like, thus far, the deathadder is more accurate than the mamba. It could just be the new mouse pad, though. I haven't tried the mamba with the goliathus yet. All and all, the deathadder and the mamba are great mice. I just feel like I have trouble getting the mouse to click in the right spot. As aforementioned, it just "slips" sometimes. When trying to pat a probe to all the bases I should be able to set the rally points really quickly. If, however, I do it quickly I'll end up sending the probe to the back of the base where there isn't even map (I shift click the bases on the minimap). I have the razer bungee to eliminate cord drag, if that helps. Again, any advice would be great.
