Allright TL, I need your help.
1. What's your grip style? Fingertip 2. What's your sensitivity? high 3. What's your maximum budget? I don't want to spend more than 60-70ish € top. 4. Do you want additional buttons? YES. 3-4+ would be awesome as hell, assuming the are still comfortable to use. 5. What games do you play? Broodwar, DotA2, Quake 3 6. Do you mind angle snapping? I don't want that stuff at all. 7. Other relevant information:
For the last 8 years or so I've been using the MX510 and later the MX518. Finally the mousewheel of the 518 is dieing and I need a new mouse. Since I literally have never used any differently shaped mouse I'd like to get some advice.
What always annoyed me about the MX518 was the position of the 2nd thumbbutton further away from me. The first one and the thumbrest are in an awesome place for me, but getting to the 2nd one is uncomfortable as hell (basically I have to switch to claw grip to reach it). Should this be a clue for me that the mouse in general is a bit too big for my hands? Feel free to throw some recommendations at me, I'm most likely looking at ordering it online and testing for a few days.
(PS: Any recommendations for a German/European supplier where ordering/returning is easy? I guess Amazon works just fine?)

I'd suggest either the logitech g400, razer deathadder or maybe even a zowie ec evo.

So basically 6+ buttons total.
The only thing that I'm even considering at the moment is the Logitech G500 but I'd like to know if I have any other cool options with the specs outlined above.
Edit: I found some comments about the G500 claiming that the mouse cable connection into the mouse is made in a way so it doesn't hold for more than 1 year / 1 1/2 years. Anyone who owns one can tell me something about this? Is this just a random failure some mice have or something more common?

If you want more than 4 extra buttons, you have to buy one of those crappy MMO mice like Razer Naga, Steelseries WOW or Logitech G600.

Or a logitech g300, has quite a few buttons as well. How well these buttons are placed though, i dunno.

The G300 and G500 look interesting so far, is there anything similar from other companies in terms of MOAR BUTTONZ?

Hey guys,
I have looked through the OP and frankly, I'm too tech-retarded to understand anything.
I'm looking for a good fingertip grip mouse that's comfortable, works, and that I can use to play SC2, LoL, Etc. Preferably Razer (just because I like my stuff to match (so really I could use anything black I just can't find anything)).
Also I've looked at like the Steel Series Sensei for example and wouldn't mind using that if it's better... Price isn't a problem.
Any suggestions?
Edit: no more buttons plox

1. What's your grip style? I would say it's mostly fingertip. 2. What's your sensitivity? I usually use 800-1000 dpi. 3. What's your maximum budget? 40-50 bucks is about my max 4. Do you want additional buttons? A side button for Vent/TS would be nice, but I can go without 5. What games do you play? SC2, LoL, Dota, GW2 6. Do you mind angle snapping? Don't think I have ever used a mouse with it, but I try to use very vanilla mice without accel etc.. 7. Other relevant information: I often have ergonomic troubles with my G500, I think it is just too big for my grip/hands. I would fingertip it and just pivot my wrist and move my hand, but I was extending my fingers way too much and the mouse was too heavy. Had some pretty sever fatigue in palm. I bought a CM Storm Spawn but am really not happy with it so far, even after messing with the settings it just doesn't feel right on 800 dpi and it might be a bit TOO small. Looking for a wired mouse.
Considering the G1/G100 (G100 seems to have so many issues, so maybe the G1 - the shape looks beautiful on both), Razer Abyssus (people say the shape is bad, I need a comfortable mouse), Zowie Mico (jitter issues as far as I can tell?), G9x shell-less (might be the best choice?), or even the Roccat Savu (is a bit bigger, but coming from the G500 maybe going to a small fingertip mouse is too much of a shock, I had a very bizarre/unique grip).
Any thoughts on the mice I have listed or something I missed? The new Ninox mice look cool, but I'm not sure which one is the G100 look alike and when its going to come out.
Thanks!

The Razer Abyssus is probably the perfect mouse for you.

hey guys,
my razor imperator is getting the double clicking issue (bought it 2 years ago) and i want to replace it, because i think i cant open and fix it without breaking it even more.
i was looking throught the op and other sides. found this one highly interesting and thought about buying a roccat savu.
Does anyone have any experience with the savu? Is it worth a try? Or do you guys recommend somthing else?
my specs 1. What's your grip style? fingertip, claw. i dont move my wrist at all. 2. What's your sensitivity? high 3. What's your maximum budget? 60 €. dont mind if its a little bit more if the mouse is really worth the money 4. Do you want additional buttons? i need 2 thumb buttons. no more. 5. What games do you play? starcraft, dota, cs 6. Do you mind angle snapping? yes 7. Other relevant information: I was also looking on the razor deathadder or a zowie am. but both are a little bigger and i have relative small hands.
thanks a lot.
p.s. to the op: all the thermaltake links are broken.

Currently my favorites are the CM Storm Inferno and the Sharkoon Draconia. Unless something similarly awesome pops up I'll order those two and test them out. =)

how to configure sensei raw? didnt find any guide =/
|
My Deathadder is having a big issue which annoys me so much.
I've tried my mouse on another computer, it works flawlessly.
But it seems like my computer is hating my mouse, it will suddenly freeze with no reason, i have to plug it out and back in to get it back to work but for maybe for few seconds to few minutes, it might freeze again.
When i removed all razer driver, my mouse goes back to normal, but why do i have to use without Razer Synapse while i'm having a razer mouse? wtf?
I've tried many ways to fix this problem, removing .net and reinstall, reinstall the razer driver, none of them helps.
Please help

Bought a SS Sensei RAW (rubber surface) today (27 oct.) and I'm glad to see for myself that it's actually really good, always thought it was a bit overhyped but I guess not.
1. What's your grip style? Anything, for rts it's more fingertip-ish without moving my arm too much, fps games and such is moving with my whole arm using claw grip so.. Depends on certain things. 2. What's your sensitivity? Again, depends on the game, on starcraft I use the maximum you can get out of the game (without changing my windows sensitivity of course) 3. What's your maximum budget? Not really looking for a new mouse as I hardly play games nowadays, growing out of the whole gaming thing I guess 4. Do you want additional buttons? I've had a few with 2 additional thumb buttons but.. I prefer the standard 3 button mice 5. What games do you play? starcraft, quake,.. And some other irrelevant games 6. Do you mind angle snapping? Not really, I can play with anything, it's just a case of adapting to your gear, makes it easier than being picky over silly things. 7. Other relevant information: I'm probably the most versatile "gamer" (don't consider myself a gamer that much anymore), can adapt to anything (the genre of the game, the gear I'm using, in-game settings, the way I play a game, the way I use certain stuff, like a mouse for example.. It's all in the head and it's just a case of making it work instead of whining 'bout it).

k, I need you guys again. As stated above I ordered the Sharkoon Draconia and the CM Storm Inferno, the Inferno arrived today and it would be an AWESOME mouse if not for one major fuckup from a software point of view. My guess would be that there HAS to be a workaround for this issue but I need some help for it.
Basically the Mouse has two non-programmable buttons. One is there to switch profiles (fine by me, don't intend to use that one), the other is there to basically function like a FN key on a laptop. If I press that button PLUS another (configurable one out of the remaining 10) afterwards it executes something I can bind.
I want that button to just execute a single keyboard keystroke (kinda like a normal, programmable button).
Does anyone here have an idea for a workaround for this issue? If not, anyone got an idea where/who I could ask that question? My GUESS would be that there might be a method via an AHK script or something similar that registers the keystroke of the "Tactics"-Button and instantly executes one of the other buttons afterwards without me pressing it which should result in whatever I bind to Tactics+X to execute with just a press of the Tactics button.
HALP. T_T
Edit: The only possible solution for this that I found via google was this post on the CM forums, but I'm not entirely sure what he's trying to say =X: http://www.cmstorm.com/forum/showthread.php?2633-Ctrl-on-button-11-on-inferno

1. What's your grip style? I guess im using a claw style(im a leftie as well) 2. What's your sensitivity? Again, depends on the game, Im currently using 52% sens ingame and standard windows (6/10) and In razer synapse Im using 600(DPI) 3. What's your maximum budget? Unlimited i guess? 150 dollars? 4. Do you want additional buttons? Not really, but as long as they dont hinder me to much Its NP 5. What games do you play? 100% Starcraft 2 6. Do you mind angle snapping? Whats that? 7. Other relevant information:
Im a leftie and have been using only my index finger for both mouse buttons last 15 years. (im mid master, and now trying to learn how to play with 2 fingers on the mouse buttons =)

Well, since you mostly play SC2 and use claw, good smaller ambidextrous(symmetric shape, suitable for both right- and lefthanders) mice should suit you well. I personally can recommend Zowie Mico, Logitech G1 and Razer Abyssus. In terms of size MiCO < Abyssus < G1 , but those are still all small-mid-sized mice, good for claw/fingertip.
