That's assuming he gets the beta samples back this week and can proceed immediately to the next and final phase.

I'm still gonna wait a bit after release and see what the general public will say about the mouse.

1. What's your grip style? Palm
2. What's your sensitivity? Medium/High, switch on the fly)
3. What's your maximum budget? $150
4. Do you want additional buttons? Need 5 buttons atleast.. 3 top and 2 thumb)
5. What games do you play? SC2 and FPS.
6. Do you mind angle snapping? I prefer not to have it.
7. Other relevant information Been using Steelseries Xai which has been good to me. My right mouse button gave away so that is why I am interested in a new one. I was satisfied with the Xai besides the minor sensor glitches I had occasionally but overall has been an enjoyable experience. I also don't have the largest hands so the Xai was a good size. I was looking at the g9x but I am hoping there are better suggestions. I am really looking for a comfortable mouse that I can never blame for my bad performance

I'm considering buying a Logitech G9X but there's supposed to be some built in acceleration problem. Will I be able to play sc2 with this mouse or should a consider some other claw/fingertip grip mouse.

IM.MVP won 4 GSLs and an MLG with it...nuff said.

As long as it's not a ball mouse, I'm pretty what mouse he used would not have changed that.

I really hate acceleration, and I should say that I didn't even noticed a bit of acceleration in my G9X.

Hey guys, i used my Deathadder Black Edition mouse for quite some time now and i would just like to ask if its worth it to switch from the DA BE to the G9x? Thanks.

Thanks. If you're currently happy with your DA, then no. The Deathadder actually has a better sensor than the G9x (but the difference is very small), so it basically comes down to ergonomics and personal preference. Do you feel that your DA is uncomfortable and/or too large? If yes, then perhaps you might enjoy a smaller mouse like the G9x more.

Looking for a mouse! Currently using a Razer Naga from my wow days and I loathe it. Software is annoying and mouse does odd thing where it'll only work on the right side of my screen sometimes.
1. What's your grip style? Palm/Claw
2. What's your sensitivity? Medium--currently play @1800 dpi and I like it.
3. What's your maximum budget? 60 USD
4. Do you want additional buttons? No!
5. What games do you play? SC2, D3, LoL
6. Do you mind angle snapping? I don't mind either way.
7. Other relevant information: I would prefer driverless and wired. I want quality and comfort with as few frills as possible. Y'know, keep it simple, stupid. I have rather largish hands (can palm a basketball on a good day).

I have a few Questions,
Today when I arrive home from work my new mouse the: Razor Abyssus should have arrived. Now I've been reading allot on mouse sensitivity, grips, hardware acceleration etc. But these guides leave me with some questions.
1. Should I adjust the ingame cursor sensitivity, Windows cursor sensitivity or the one related to mouse hardware itself? 2. Are the above mouse sensitivity settings all called DPI?
Any tips on how to make my mouse more optimal would be welcome! I don’t have much experience with them mice, I now have a Logitech G9 but its old and hardware problems start occurring.
The only setting I ever changed where hardware acceleration so ye anything else to increase my mouse experience xD would be nice ^_-

Your starcraft 2 sensitivity should be disabled, and windows should be at 6/11 notch with enhanced pointer precision box unchecked. Use DPI and nothing else as your sensitivity setting. (Id recommend picking a setting from ~ 400-1000dpi and sticking with it)
DPI is the singular "sensitivity" setting for mice, a few factors like acceleration aside, other settings just multiply that and with them set correctly (no multiplication or skipping/interpolation) any 1000dpi mouse will move the cursor at the exact same speed. There are slight differences in practice but nothing really worth mentioning. Go look for the other mouse thread with all the info :D

I currently have a Logitech M90 + Show Spoiler + I got it for $10 and it has done me fine. However, I feel the 1000 DPI is limiting me in SC2.
Can anyone suggest a mouse with a similar shape/feel to this? Was looking at the SteelSeries Kana but I heard the sensor on that is dog shit.

Hey, I just got the Razer Abyssus. I used the Logitech M90 for a short time aswell. The Abyssus feels great and has a similar shape. Its a small mice; I really liked it though. The driver bug is really annoying, I dont need it anyways. Great mice but really cheap!

Its not, unless you are using the mouse wrong or make a lot of movement by screen scrolling with mouse, which is generally considered very time and effort inefficient, or you do lots of other inefficient movements. Throw mouse wheel scroll sensitivity to 100% and move the camera by camera hotkeys, minimap clicks and holding in the mousewheel+moving mouse without moving the cursor to the edge of your screen and back every few seconds? Move your hand faster? I dont know, you could argue that more extreme lower end dpi's (360 or below) are limiting you if you are trying to play extremely quickly, but you really shouldnt have any issues at all with your sens, 1k is even pretty generous. Less than 2 inches side-to-side on vertical axis.
Im pretty sure it was agreed that Flash was using 450dpi in his FPVOD's for sc2, at 1920x1080, and im able to float at ~150apm 100eapm with protoss at 360dpi (though i usually play at 810 now) terran is a bit higher and zerg a LOT higher (like 150-200eapm) with same settings
