Is this the mouse in general? or could this just be a defect in the mouse i bought?
Anyway im going to buy a new mouse, is the razer death adder the go for high sensitivity SC2?
Thanks guys! Chris It sounds to me like the problem is you've go your sensitivity too high. You should have SC2 sensitivity set between 51% and 54%, and the DPI setting on the mouse should realistically be no higher than 2500. Or you could just not use the sensitivity settings in SC2 and stay at 6/11 in Windows. Also the range is actually %51-55, not 54. Dunno how the other guy found that out, but the MMR can easily show that unscaled movement is between 51 and 55. The odd thing though is that I tested to see if the recorder was changing it's output every 5 values, and that definitely is the case, but %1 is definitely 1/11 and %100 is also just definitely 11/11, which makes everything kinda messed up (you'd think that you'd be moving in steps of 5 to approximate the windows settings based on what the MMR is showing, but that's not at all what happens).
Also regarding CPI, that number is actually going to be considerably lower depending on the screen resolution. If you use a screen resolution of 1920x1080 for example your maximum useful CPI will actually be between 1400-1800.

Thanks guys,
Tonight I will post my screen resolution and then would you be able to tell me the max setting for windows/SC2 sensitivity and DPI according to me screen resolution? Then if the cursor will stay still when I double click, the mouse is all good!
In the GSL what settings would a korean pro use typically? I know they have it fast!
Thanks, Chris

I dont see why your cursor would move when you double click regardless of dpi or others settings. You are either doing something funny or your mouse is messed up.

Thats what I thought too, it almost feels like the mouse is unbalanced so when i click, the force to click rocks the mouse slightly.. something just doesnt feel right

my razer abyssus lasted almost 2 years, but i do know some people's who break down sooner and some people's who last way longer. id agree that their lifespans arent very consistent, or perhaps that it depends on wear =\

Probably depends on how people use them. Most razer mice aren't as sturdy as like logitech mice, so using a razer mouse the same way you would use a logitech mouse might be the reason why they have a shorter lifespan

No, but seriously, PTE sensors can be so sensitive that they can register movement when you press a button, though that's only on cloth pads iirc though (less resistance of the surface is my guess as hard pads don't seem to suffer this problem). nope....video is on a hard surface.

Actually, hard pads have just as many potential issues for them. QCK mass FTW. My RAT7's PTE was a PITA to find a good surface for.

LOOL, I should look more carefully, you can see the test I linked is on a hard surface (computer case top?). XD Also the test may have been at max CPI, which is always going to exacerbate errors a bit.

Meh. The PTE, there's only one thing to do. Go to your local PC store, buy a dozen different surfaces, and test them all with your desk and mouse. Return everything that doesn't work well.
Painful experience.

So what do you guys set your other buttons on your mouse to? I have 2 buttons on my xai that aren't doing anything.

I don't have other buttons. And honestly, I have no need for other buttons nor can I think of one.

i only use 3 button mice. i dont see the need for a mouse with more than 3 buttons when you already have a keyboard

The back and forward side buttons are a godsend for Internet browsing...?

Anybody here know any sort of spray coating you can put on your mouse to prevent sweat corrosion? Or any way to prevent it from happening?
I have been through 2 mice in 2 years because the rubber coating just swears out and it looks abhorrently ugly not to mention the feel of it on your hands.

Many mice have coatings of paint or other things on them for appearance but that coating causes problems.
You could get a mouse that's made of solid dyed plastic without any sort of coating. That doesn't mean it would be a glossy mouse or anything; bumpty textures can be maintained if it's a reasonable type of plastic.
Or if you're saying you don't like the feeling of regular plastic under your hands (as opposed to broken coatings) then I think you have other problems. Any sort of coating to go over the coating would probably feel just as bad or worse than uncoated plastic.

There recently was a thread about that topic. My opinion on the matter: you should only use your two main mouse buttons. The reason is you need your other fingers to stabilize the mouse (as you are probably playing with a fingertip grip). Also your keyboard is full of all sorts of buttons, just take a look ...

Any recommendations for a replacement for a dying Logitech G3? I bought a Storm Spawn but it feels a bit too wide for me since i rest my ring finger beside my middle finger and not on space where it says "spawn". Only requirement I have is at least 1800 dpi and 5 buttons.

I am very pleased with my Xai, but there is a problem which is bothering me for quite some time now... My hand keeps getting tired very fast because the mouse feels to large for it. So my - perhaps simple - question is if I should try out a Kinzu V2 or Kana next. Any suggestions?^^ And yes I have read all the details for both mice, but I can not decide...

I've always prefered the kinzu over the Sensei, Xai and Kana simply because it fits perfectly my little girly hands.
