He's moving the mouse a LOT. Inches - i would guess closer to 600dpi than 1600
I think you're overestimating the size of that mousepad and his hand size there is barely any movement when you have to consider he has to be going at least half the screen distance constantly in his movement, as to hit the borders of the screen to adjust the camera. Ofc without video of what he's doing on screen it's guessing but 600dpi would require much more lifting than what was occurring.
People overestimate how much actual movement they are doing
0:50-0:55 is halfway across screen at 800dpi
he's not using 1600 but maybe 1k is believable because of how hard it is to judge
I have a g9x, abyssus, and mico. Cyro knows his stuff, and I agree with him that it looks like the g9x is at 800-1k dpi if he's using 51% sensitivity at 1920x1080 resolution.
Sup everybody, tired of my current sensei fucking me over constantly, so i want to try out a new mouse! (as for the reason specifically, my sensor is constantly fucking up, mouse sensitivity just keeps dropping for no reason and then goes back to normal, its driving me nuts.)
1. What's your grip style? Palm/Claw hybrid, leaning more towards palm. Using sensei now for awhile and seems to be ok.
2. What's your sensitivity? 800.
3. What's your maximum budget? 50eu, might push it a little higher if it's really worth it.
4. Do you want additional buttons? Thumb 4 and 5 are a must as i use them alot in dota2/cs;go and on my browser.
5. What games do you play? Dota2, Cs;go as of now.
6. Do you mind angle snapping? Yes.
7. Other relevant information: As mentioned above, 2 thumb bottons are a must. The scroll-wheel must not be too hard to press, as i use it alot during dota2 and cs;go gaming. Other than that i want it to be optical. I would prefer a light-weight mouse, as right now when i switch to my deathadder from my sensei, i cant use it at all due to it feeling too heavy (mind you my current deathadder is the old 3.5g version and weights more than the new one)
I've recommended my G400s in the past. It's very good, about €45,- I think, and feels extremely comfortable, even though I'm a claw/fingertip user. It's obviously a palm mouse, but I just prefer to move my mouse this way. I came from a Sensei and it's plain great. Cyro has the G402 however, which is supposed to be an upgrade. Personally I love the rubberish sides.. the DPI switching is very welcome as with any mouse, and two side buttons is plenty.
I did a bit of a review on TL and here because I cannot find the one I posted on TL!
Where did you find the G400s for 45eu? i've been looking around and the lowest i can find is about 60eu, for that much i might aswell get the G402 i suppose? im not really sure, the design on the G402 looks uncomfortable to me.
If anyone is looking for a budget gaming mouse, the Rosewill Reflex is 25 bucks on Newegg atm. I've had mine for about two weeks and I've had a mostly positive experience so far. The software is pretty straightforward but it only saves two profiles (not sure if that's the norm). Its a pretty big ergonomic mouse and primarily a palm-grip, but if you have above-average sized hands like me you can claw or fingertip grip it fairly comfortably.
My only real gripe I have with the mouse is that the dpi indicator and mouse-wheel are permanently red and can't be changed or turned off. The only light customization is the Rosewill logo on the palm..that you'll never see when you're using it and will clash with the dpi lights and wheel light if you want anything other than red. If aesthetics are super important to you might it be something to keep in mind, especially if you have a backlit keyboard.
Overall thought the mouse functions very well for me, it feels precise and sturdy and the grip is comfortable. My friend has a Anker CG100 and we both agree that my Rosewill compares favorably in comfort, precision/accuracy (the sensitivity on the CG100 seems inconsistent), and reliability (her profiles tend to delete themselves).
hi folks! i used the deathadder (2013) for the last past 18 month and i loved it! but it seems like the right mouse button is kinda fucked now. can anybody recommend me a good mouse for sc2/cs go?! i have pretty huge hands but back in the days i used the abyssus and i liked it too. my grip is kinda in between claw, palm and fingertip and it shouldnt be too pricy.

thx in advance!
I think you need to define what you want a bit more precisely, telling us that you liked both abyssus and deathadder basically means that you can buy anything with a good sensor

Same mouse I had, ditched it after it started double clicking instead of single clicking (ie one click was getting me a double click instead).
Couple of other peeps chimed in saying they too had similar problems with their razer mouse. Ended up going with a steelseries rival. So far so good.
hi all, I'm a pretty decent osu player and I had some aim issues lately. Most of the discussions here seem to be about certain settings, or types of mice, but that's not the problem. Around 1,5 years ago, I think, I bought a CM storm's xornet. I'm very happy with it, and have no doubts about my settings: raw input (setting in osu), 1000 dpi and 1600x900 resolution. In the spoiler below is a video to what osu means and how I play. The issue is this: once every 3 songs or so, I'll miss horribly. Not just miss because I aim wrongly, that happens more often. I'm talking about misses of which I'm absolutely sure it's not because of muscle memory. I know this is hard to believe, but let's assume that ok? :') I have a steelseries mousepad, also no problems generally. So what I want to know is the following: how probable is the possibility of the misses being caused by my mouse as opposed to my mousepad? I couldn't find much on the lifespan of a xornet, but could it be the age? Most of all, how can I test such things, without buying a new mouse(pad) obviously? I did clean my mousepad and the bottom of my mouse some times, but it doesnt seem to help.
the sensor isnt mechanical, i dont see why it would have relevant lifespan at all. Maybe its psychological if its every 3rd song and then gone on the next song

ok so the g100s is a very nice symmetrical mouse, if you get a batch with good click switches. they seemed to have had QA issues with that mouse, i broke 2 within 6 months, their support seemes to know about those issues, but its annoying to do that whole replcement process every 6 months.

Same with the G502.
I have a G502, and the wheel doesn't feel hard to me. That's subjective though.
I'd recommend the mouse, but if you grew up using 5 buttons on a mouse, there's about 5 extra buttons.
Really nice mouse though.
I've used quite a few decent mice (intellimouse, deathadder 3.5g, steelseries WoW mouse that kinda sucked, xornet, g402) and some more random cheap mice, and the 402 scroll wheel at first required like twice as much force as the stiffest one that i had ever pressed before

Have you accounted for the sensor position on the mouse and how that responds to rotation etc?
Those kinds of inconsistent misses happen on all of my mice and that's one of the biggest reason i use tablet
you BLEW MY MIND for like 3 minutes just now, could have sworn you posted that in the osu thread
I have accounted for rotation (at least I feel I have). The misses feel differently from those. Sometimes, just for fun, I play with my mouse rotated slightly, and those misses feel very wrong, like I'm really doing something wrong (and I obviously am). This feels like my arm isn't able to find my chin, because for one second it grew 10 cm, if you know what I mean. Normally I just rq right after, so I don't have a replay with it I know of, but I'll post it once I notice it again.
Haha, I know i almost only post in the osu thread
edit: important to notice isn't that they occur, because I can handle a wrong jump a day, it's just that the frequency is rising.
