If you didn't like the Logitech G9x, you probably won't like the Zowie MiCO either.

Logitech G1 / Logitech G3 are very similar to the Abyssus, but they were discontinued everywhere except South Korea a long time ago.

I'd recommend you to wait for the releases of the Ninox Aurora (info: http://www.esreality.com/post/2173191/new-gaming-mouse-development/ ) and the Logitech G100s (info: http://www.logitech.com/en-us/microsites/gaming-science). These two mice have basically the same shape as the Logitech G1.

Hey, I'm pretty much a noob when it comes to mice and I'm not sure this is the right place to ask this question, but thought I'd start here instead of making my own thread.

I've got a Razer Deathadder; I've had it for 2-3 years without issue, but in the past week or 2 it's started to do a double-click when I single-click sometimes. This doesn't occur every time I click my mouse, but it happens often enough to be aggravating while gaming. I tried messing with my mouse settings and it doesn't matter how fast or slow I make the double-clicking this still occurs. Is there anything I can do to fix this or am I simply in need of a new mouse?

Thanks

I don't know what you want to say. Yes, the mouse has been in the making for a long time and bst didn't post many updates, but he alone as an organizer is not a full-fledged gaming hardware company eg. he probably has another 9 to 5 job and is a gamer himself plus maybe even has a family to feed. Sooner or later it will be released and, based on specs, going to beat most of the Razer, Steelseries and Logitech stuff by miles in terms of performance. And that's all that should matter to somebody who alredy knows about the product.

Also, here's bst's response: http://www.overclock.net/t/1240739/bsts-gaming-mouse/760#post_19547777

If you think we shouldn't support new up-and-coming gaming hardware manufacturers, which we already know to exist, just because they may not have put too much emphasis or just didn't have the time to spend on marketing / because releases have been delayed for, very much so, understandable reasons, all I've got to say is: Shame on you!

DeathAdders are notorious for having this problem. You can try opening it up, taking off the top plate and cleaning the switches, but I think most of us just consider it time to replace it at that point. You're lucky it lasted as long as it did actually, the scrollwheel doesn't skip on you regularly?

hey guys I don't have a fancy mouse but I do love the mouse I have right now. it's just that the mouse is a ball mouse from over 10 years ago. I was hoping some of you guys who are experts on mice, could help me with my ball mouse. What can I do to maintain it so that I can continue to use it for a long time? I am kind afraid it will break or stop working. The cursor gets stuck sometimes now and I have to move it around like crazy to get it started again. Any tips on taking care of this old grandfather mouse?

clean it. often (qtip rubbing alcohol, or a knife, etc...). That and make sure your mousing surface is kept clean, then you wont (hopefully) have to keep opening up your internal axis and removing the dust and other crap that gets in there (on these + Show Spoiler +

It should be fine (will be fine to use on the plastic mechanical portions of the apparatus, just be careful if the alcohol is less pure (%70 or so) if thinking about cleaning the pcb or other stuff). I used to use a thread needle to scrape off the dust/dirt back in the day to try to not wear the plastic down.

Hi there, I hope I'm not in the wrong forum. I have a A4tech xl-750bk mouse (on budget :D ) and I have recently (last 2 or 3 months) been experiencing some problems with my thumb getting really, really stiff and sore. I excercise my hands when I play/work, I take breaks, but it isn't stopping, in fact, it is getting worse and worse.
I belive it is because I tend to claw-grip most of the time when playing, but I have fairly short fingers. Any advice on my problem - should I get a new mouse (a larger one maybe), should I try to switch to palm-grip when playing, or is it not in the mouse itself?

(In case of recommendation: I usually play mid sensitivity, have a limited budget - depends, but I can't really go above 35-40 Euros, mostly playing Dota 2)
Busy night, but there's always room for another... unless the servers are down.

Alternatively you could desolder the old switches, buy new switches on eBay, and solder them.

Probably the Black Edition or the 3.5 version. And you can use the old driver on them.

I purchased a CM Storm Spawn mouse which only has dpi settings of 800, 1800, 3500. I wish there was a 1200-1400 setting.. Anyway I'm not sure whether to play with 800 dpi or 1800. I've heard a lot of pros use the slow 800, while day9 recommends 1600-2000. Which would you recommend for competitive sc2?

Got a G9x last week, love it. The biggest pro is that my wrist pain is gone now. I used Deathadders and G400 (and mx518, mx510's before that) for the last 8 years or so, but since I started playing sc2 they felt too heavy and my wrist hurt if I played too much. I always thought small light mice were shit, but I decided to give it a go anyway and was pleasantly surprised.

800 is not slow.

If you're looking for accuracy, consistency and insane muscle memory, you probably want something from the 400-1200 window depending on preferance. Thats also best for a ton of playing, because you rely on tight wrist movements a lot less than high DPI which means you can basically play 50, 100+ games in a row without any pain if you do it properly instead of having wrist lock up/hurt/carpal tunnel if you play more than a dozen or two on a short time pretty often

Thx for your input. I'll try to get used to 800, but at least for now it's annoying to have to move the mouse so "far" to get to the other side of the screen.
