For keyboards or headphones, there's the overpriced gaming stuff and above that the actual high end, but for mice there just isn't, so the overpriced gaming stuff ends up being the best. So true. At least for now ...

I don't know about that, it's an established Swiss quality manufacturer that's like one of the oldest peripheral manufacturers out there. For me, it's always been a quality brand. But maybe it is not that well known outside of Europe?
Edit: while googling the manufacturers, I just noticed that Steelseries is a Danish company. I would never have guessed that o.O

They make a lot of oem stuff. Maybe I'm the only one associating logitech with the cheap crappy rubber dome keyboards, those terrible oem mice, etc.
I mean they don't exactly seem to have the same image as Corsair or Coolermaster. Maybe it's just marketing. But CM/Corsair don't exactly make a bunch of oem stuff, as terrible as a lot of their products might be.

Logitech makes some of the reliable keyboards and peripherals in general on the cheap, i do not know what you're thinking of but logitech has a history of quality product at a price along with some of the best customer support seen by any company at least in the US.

They dont' really strike me as an enthusiast company, most of their stuff is very general usage, lower end stuff. Morelike a lite-on than a razer kind of brand. I must just have the wrong view, they have the best air heatsink on the market and some of the best mice.

Logitech keyboards are pretty bad, but their mice, even the ones for general usage, are some of the best, especially in terms of durability.

Razer who gold plates their USB plugs on the outside so you can see it, which does nothing because there is no connection there. USB connection is inside of the rectangle shaped plug and Razer who look for reasons to light up mice. Swag != good stuff.

If I didn't already have a matte G1 I would be all over the G100s. That is the perfect mouse for me.

But Logitech doesn't exactly advertise that they make high end heatsinks that destroy the nh-d14, or that they have gaming mice perfect for professional starcraft players, or sponsor anything to get name brand recognition.

After wondering which mouse I would buy guess I might just wait for the new g100 and give that a shot.

The G100 was hyped a lot, but turned out to have only a really niche market because of its ripple and ips problems.

I have no trouble with marine splitting whatsoever if that's what you mean.

According to the statement, the mouse has extensive this and that in order to maximize mouse accuracy and bla bla bla.
God knows if that is actually true, but I'm slightly optimistic as it would be nothing short of scandalous to have an elaborate paragraph in your mouse announcement about accuracy, and it retaining the problems the old g100 had.

They don't need to actively advertise, the quality of their products and word of mouth is all they need. Just watch any tournament and any Korean player not sponsored by a peripheral company will most likely be using a Logitech of some kind. In a way, that is a way better advertisement than paying someone to use your product. Seeing professional players, by choice, using a product speaks volumes more about that product than any statement by someone paid by the company ever could.
And on the quality thing, we have used Logitech stuff for many years and have found they make some of the most sturdy peripherals you can buy. Their PC speakers sound good and are nice quality, especially for the price. I've knocked mine off my desk many times and it doesn't even phase them. They just keep working. They make consumer products that are inexpensive but aren't of shoddy quality, something you find very rarely these days.

Well you do have to remember that he's talking directly to OCN. . I really appreciate that he does join in conversation on boards such as OCN which is really nice. That being said, I guess we'll find out soon what those nebulous statements mean.

So I just ordered the CM Storm Spawn to replace my Logitech G9. I also bought a SteelSeries QcK mouse pad to go with it. Can't wait to try it out.

So I just got the new deathadder 2013. Looks like you have to use their new driver system called "Synapse" which I already hate. You have to create an account and login everytime... EDIT : So I'll have to send it back because everytime I lift it, the cursor freezes. WHY DID I GO FOR THE 2013 VERSION WHYYYYYYYY

I have here a Logitech g9x, Steelseries Sensei, Deathadder 3.5, Abyssus, Roccat Savu a Roccat Kone Pure, Razer Taipan, Steelseries Kinzu Pro 2.0 a Zowie Mico and a Zowie AM. And i must say that the Zowie AM is the best of them! Shape Sensor No Drivers. I have found for what i searched so long : Da perfect Mouse!

No stupid specification options and driver installation, tracking is perfect and fits to my hand very good as well. By the way, Zowie just announced their new AM model with only shape difference, named Zowie FK.

I know. But the shape from Zowie FK is more like the Sensei! And i prefer the shape from the AM cause is more like the shape from the good old Microsoft Wheelmouse Optical which i used for more then 10 Years in Quake 3 1on1 OSP. And that shape is for me the best ever. Not to small like Mico or g9x ( without shell )
