I don't like curling my fingers like that. I did that with my mico because of how small it was and had no choice, and after awhile, the joints in my finger would start aching. I prefer resting my fingers relaxed and straight. I can adapt to the concave, but I just rather wish it wasn't.

So , at 6/11 , 450 dpi is too slow and 1150 way too fast. What can I do ?

Gotta ask for resolution. Remember 1150 is twice as sensitive on a resolution with half as many pixels to cross screen (1366x786 vs 1920x1080) or hm.. Not sure how it would feel (if you need to count absolute lengh vs lengh - or total pixel count) but you need a lot less DPI for the same sensitivity feel on a lower resolution If he's using a lower resolution than 1920x1080 it's probably appropriate to drop to 450 and adjust - it can easily feel like 700-1k on a higher resolution, which i don't think anybody can argue with.

I cant even palm grip deathadder because my fingers go like an inch over the end, claw and fingertip both leave the front part of the mouse (dont reach that far) and it clicks a lot easier further down

I didn't quite get the answer I was looking for from this. Let me clarify what I'm trying to ask: I want a new mouse so that I can have one for a desktop and one for a laptop. Right now my current one is a G400, playing SC2 at around 3200-3600 DPI and FPS games at around 1100 DPI. Using it with a laptop, I've had minor problems with the mouse being a little to big as I don't always have a lot of space to move my mouse around while traveling. So, is the Anker good, or should I get another G400, or is there another mouse that's a better option overall?

Look at a CM Storm Spawn/Xornet, Razer Abyssus or Zowie MiCO. I also suggest you lower your DPI to 1000-2000 for SC2. I played at 3200 DPI for about a year with a palm grip mouse, and going down to 1600 DPI (1920x1080) with a smaller Razer Abyssus has helped me immensely. It'll only take about a day or two to adjust.

I forgot to mention (I'm really sorry for not mentioning it sooner) that I need at least 5 buttons on the mouse because I use the forward and back mouse buttons for hotkeys, so the Razer Abyssus and the Zowie MiCO are out the window. The CM Storm Spawn seems good, but I hate the color scheme with a passion. It seems like I may as well get another G400, or maybe the upcoming G400s if that's a worthy upgrade from the G400.

I'll know more once mine arrives (probably tomorrow or tuesday is my guess), but Skylit has already done a lot of investigating. Someone has looked into the G100s already?! Great! I can't wait to hear their impressions. I just recently found out about the G100s after checking the Logitch website. I bought a G100 off of eBay from S. Korea, and I am currently using it. I love the shape of this mouse. It is perfect for my hands/grip. Especially for Starcraft. The details for the G100s are already on Amazon: LINK. I was wondering if the G100s was just a repainted shell of the G100, but then I noticed in the details that the switches are 20 million instead of 10 million, and it appears from the images on Amazon that you can actually modify the DPI in the software, unlike the G100. I am kind of hoping that they rework the shell a bit too, and make the mouse a but more sturdy. There is a tiny gap between the top plastic cover and the bottom plastic cover/switches, which causes a small "false click" when I press the right mouse button. I have kind of gotten use to it, but it really makes the mouse feel cheap, and the "false click" threw me off a couple of times when I first started noticing it. I ended up taking the mouse apart and putting some folded tissue under the top cover to reduce the "false click". Other than that the mouse is perfect. I even prefer it over my G9x. I hope to see some positive feedback on G100s here on TL! Please keep us posted!

I bought a deathadder about a year ago and I'm starting to realize that it's not a good mouse for my grip style (I tend to finger tip grip) as it's quite heavy for a mouse plus the shape of it isn't suited to my grip style. Up until today I was under the impression that I use a claw grip however after some reading it turns out that I definitely have a fingertip grip. Any suggestions in the under $80 range? Edit: I picked up a sensei raw, and I'm going to grab a razer abysus after work to compare which one I like better. After some short time with the sensei at work, my first impression is that it'll probably be better than my deathadder but only slightly. I've got pretty small hands and I feel like the mouse is too long for a finger tip grip like the one I want. I'll edit again once I try the abysus. Can you guys make any recommendations for mice with good sensors that are well suited for fingertips grip for guys with smaller hands, as I mentioned the sensei raw just feels a little big (mostly just long).

Skylit doesn’t sound that enthusiastic, though. I think his current favorite tracking wise is the Savu (which he can’t use as he is lefthanded ^^).

What games are you playing on it primarily? (RTS, FPS, etc.) 2. What sensitivity/DPI do you use? 3. What pivot do you use? (Just to make sure. I'm assuming you use a wrist pivot and fingertip grip allows you to splay your fingers in and out to move the mouse forward/back). 4. What mouse pad do you plan to use?

Thx for the reply! 1) The mouse I'm looking to buy is going to be strictly an RTS/SC2 mouse. I'm not really playing anything else at the moment and I'm going to keep my Deathadder as I actually like the mouse. I've only started using this claw/finger grip for rts. I use more of a palm grip for fps games which the deathadder is super comfortable. 2) My windows sensitivity is 6/11 as recomended and I think my inagme sensitivity is set to around 50? WIth regards to dpi... I started higher, and I've been slowly decreasing it as I find my control to be a little better with lower DPI. I'm currently playing around 1200 dpi. *note my monitor isn't 1920x1080. I play at 1600x900 so a lot of people would think that 1200 is even high at that resolution. 3) Yes exactly. That's what I find best for mouse control, however my deathadder isn't the best mouse for this type of grip. 4) I have a steelseries black cloth like mouse pad. I'm open to trying a different surface if there is going to be a benefit to doing so. I bought two mice today and I'll see which one I like better, and maybe it'll help someone make a recomendation for the perfect mouse for me :-). First impression of the sensei is that it's a bit long or tall or something. I tend to lift my palm off the butt of the mouse as I play, and it has a pretty large behind. I'm really liking the mouse feet on it though much better than what came on the abyssus. I think I want a lower profile mouse or just a smaller mouse in general as I have slightly below average hands. I played around with the Razer Abyssus at work today as well and I'm fairly certain that it'll be the best one out of the 3 that I have at the moment for RTS. Will play some games tonight with the Abyssus and post my thoughts. Should I be concerned with having two different mouse drivers installed on my computer at the same time?? I have razer synapse installed for my deathadder and I assume that it'll work with the abyssus. Anything I should know/do before installing the steelseries software/drivers?
