The BW Ultimate has individual backlit keys, the keys are made out of a nicer material, USB and Audio in/out on the side.

I would say more people seem to like the keyboard with the macro keys than don't.

I'm assuming because they get in the way for some people and are unnecessary. Also, I will never understand why Razer used a non standard keyboard layout in their highest end product...

Human error is no reason to disregard a product or to say that it "totally ruin(s) this product". And Razer explains their keyboard layout on their page. They backed it up with pretty hefty ergonomic testing, or so they claim.

Not saying that It actually ruins it, but I just got this keyboard and the way they are placed is a little annoying at first considering It makes your hand think you are one key further over. I got used to it now but when i first started playing sc2 with it i kept hitting caps lock instead of attack move lol.

And quite honestly, macro keys should be essential in a keyboard targeted towards gamers.

The fact it is still around means something to me. I can't stand non standard keyboards. Okay.. the gloss and childish font ruins it too. I just really don't like any aspect of the Black Widow except the fact it is mechanical but even then I don't like MX Blues because I prefer Brown. Simplicity and standards > Glossy marketing and (imo) dumb layout.

Simplicity and standards > Glossy marketing and (imo) dumb layout. Opinion. Opinion. Opinion. It sounds like you want a keyboard designed especially for you, not for the masses. The fact is, Razer can't produce enough of these to stay in stock. I like the gloss, I like the font, and I love the macro keys. Your only argument is the layout. Even then, I have become accustomed to the layout and am loving it, as will the thousands of other buyers.

Overall I feel the keyboard design is clumsy for SC2 and unless you are cheating with macros, they are useless and just get in the way. I feel like I should have went with the more traditional mechanical keyboard for SC. Oh well this keyboard was dirt cheap for 56 dollars and it's mechanical with a decent build construction and do enjoy it with other games! I probably won't return to trade it in since all the better Rosewills RK9000 sold out like hotcakes

Overall I'd have to recommend this keyboard for anyone that is looking to get a mechanical keyboard but doesn't wanna spend more than ~80. The keys feel wonderful albiet a bit noisey. 5/5 imo

the steelseries 7g was non clicky as advertised, and in my opinion it wasnt that good the siig mechanical keyboard used Fukka switches (similar to APLS) which had a sexy click sound and good actuation force, you didnt press a key once you rested upon it, but you didnt need too much to have the key to actuate the blackwidow ultimate in my opinion was inferior to the siig mechanical, as it had more mushy keys than i thought it would have, but still it's on the top of my list

- blue Cherry keys - macro keys, eg useful as numpad keys in dota Bad: - the foldable stands on the bakside (for angling the keyboard) feels like it can break any moment - No support for wrists Excellent replacement for my old microsoft keyboard<3
