According to Geekhack's rollover thread, non-NKRO Filcos have minimum two key rollover. I'm not sure of the maximum

That's pretty typical for most non-NKRO keyboards though.

It's what's inside that counts.

There are plenty of poorly built flashy keyboards with bad rollover, short lifespans, and miserable feel.

On the flashier side, there's the DAS keyboard, the Razer BlackWidow (& BW Ultimate), and Deck keyboards.

I got the Rosewill RK-9000 for $72 (unfortunately, retail is currently $100 - it may go on sale on October 11th for $80).

As far as we can tell it's a Costar board (same body, same warranty seal, rubber feet, same info label spot, almost identical packaging except the branding, etc - I own a Filco Tactile Touch NKRO & an ABS M1, two other Costar boards). The internal board isn't known - the ABS M1 (also a Newegg house brand) used the Costar CST-105A, the Filcos use the CST-104. If I had any ability whatsoever I'd dissect the thing, but trust me, it'd be destroyed.

Quality plate mounted mechanical with N-key rollover for under $100. Specs & body equal to that of the Tactile Click NKRO ($146.50 shipped within US)

I'm liking the blues, but I wish they had an option with MX browns too. Probably a turnoff to many gamers. I game fine on them, but I'm hardly a professional - I'll freely admit that I'm pretty casual.

Thing that I find funny is people spend hundreds on video cards, cpus, ram, hard drives, massive monitors but then cheap out on the keyboard/mouse.

$140 is a small price to pay for not getting RSI 10 years down the track, I spend most of my day in front of my computer for work and then gaming etc at night. $140 is nothing.

Cool is not using a grip in that image. That would reduce the bulkiness of the mouse.

seriously granny smith???

could it be my favorite? a Pink Lady apple?

Defiantly not pink lady tho they are delicious

That is definitely a fuji all the way, it cant be a breaburn because as you can see on the first picture the brown/green/yellowish part doesnt start early enough on the bottom of the apple, although it does on the top.
And no one would be using pink ladies at that level, that is such a low-skill apple! Gtr got it just right

I do not believe it is the NKRO version of the Filco; I think the NKRO versions all come with gold logos (though I could be wrong about other odd versions or foreign layouts.) But I don't think NKRO would be a huge benefit, as I don't think you're going to be holding down more than 6 keys simultaneously during an RTS game.

All you need for the full NKRO is the USB to PS2 adapter that already comes with it.

That is not correct. There are different versions of this keyboard, some have NKRO, some do not. Because the USB HID interface design is limited to 6-key-rollover (plus 4 modifier keys), you must use the PS/2 adapter if you want full NKRO (in practice, you're extremely unlikely to need more than 6-key; you're going to have one hand on the mouse while gaming, and your other hand typically has five fingers). The NKRO versions are about $25 more expensive.

The 87-key (tenkeyless) versions are all NKRO, as are the 104 key ones with the gold Filco logo (again, only when used with the PS/2 adapter). The 104 key ones with the silver logo are not NKRO even with the PS/2 adapter.

For reference:
Filco Majestouch 104-key
Filco Majestouch 87-key (tenkeyless)
Filco Majestouch numeric keypad

I am thoroughly astounded that nobody has made an Apple or Macintosh joke yet. He can certainly afford any keyboard and mouse he wants now, to say the least.

Let's take a moment and analyze his keyboard selection. Well, it's black. So that's good. It's got a spacebar. Totally awesome. Numbers 1-0. Good good. The entire alphabet. Yup, also good. Damn. This is a sweet keyboard. No wonder he's pro. This keyboard rocks!

You can't tell from the pic whether or not he's using one with Cherry MX Blue, Brown, or Black switches. Heck, it could even be Red...there's no way to tell from the pic alone.

Also Tester uses the same board as him...it must run in their training house.

Incorrect. MX Blue Filcos have green LEDs, MX Black Filcos have red LEDs.

Since his num lock light is quite clearly blue, it's MX Brown.

Since the logo is silver, it isn't an NKRO model.

It's a Filco Majestouch Tactile Touch.
