I think I've covered everything, you can only OC the graphics card, if you want to do processor in budget maybe just get a 560Ti and get a P67 mobo + the 2500k processor instead, probably better off with the 570 card though. You could also consider the 560Ti and getting an SSD as well, up to you. ![]() Heres some of the parts i've randomly put together after some advice CPU Intel Core i5-2500K 3.3GHz Quad-Core Processor MotherboardASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3 ATX LGA1155 Motherboard Memory G.Skill Sniper 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory Videocard XFX Radeon HD 6950 2GB Video Card Case Cooler Master HAF 912 ATX Mid Tower Case Monitor Iiyama E2208HDS-B2 IF i buy all that from alternatie.be that would be € 865,50 SO far Still missing ideas on a good PSU and SSD (i already have a good normal hard drive). Any suggestions? Excuse my english, its been a while Heres the questionnaire + Show Spoiler + What is your budget? At most 1000 euros, but that does include costs for a new monitor. Cheaper is as allways appreciated ![]() What is your resolution? 1920x1080. I'm buying a new monitor aswell so this is open to debate. Past experiences tell me that i prefer 1920x1080 though. What are you using it for? Playing games at the best possible quality while listening to a song or two and browsing the webs. I do all my work on my laptop. (sc2, skyrim, battlefield 3, SWTOR… the usual newer games.) What is your upgrade cycle? About 2.5 years. When do you plan on building it? Between now and 3 months. Do you plan on overclocking? No. Do you need an Operating System? No. Do you plan to add a second GPU for SLI or Crossfire? Optional. If you can fit it in the budget and you think its worth the extra cost, yes. I suspect i might not be using it anytime soon though. Where are you buying your parts from? http://www.alternate.be/html/index.html http://tones.be/ and possibly http://www.pixmania.com/

Also the Corsair A70 doesn't even have PWM control; the two fans just run at 2000 rpm (really fast and loud) or 1600 rpm if you use the inline resistors supplied (still fast and loud), if that's a concern. Otherwise the price is good, if you don't care about that. The Zalman CNPS10X Performa is just a couple euros more and also has plenty overkill performance for an i5-2500k; the fan isn't the best but at least it's PWM controlled so it needn't be running full tilt even if your computer is idling. HAF 912 is pretty good but priced a bit high in Europe because the version you get over there has extra fans, which don't really serve much practical benefit for a build like that. A reasonable cheaper gamer-styled alternative is the Zalman Z9 Plus; BitFenix Shinobi is another type of alternative. 125 euros on the monitor seems like a poor place to skimp on a 1000 euros build unless you really don't care how things look and would prioritize slightly better computer specs (which will soon become outdated) over a better monitor which you use a lot and will not become outdated like that.

For that price I'd rather take this gpu (on sale): http://www.inet.se/produkt/1902177/evga-geforce-gtx-560ti-448-core-ftw It has better performance at the same price as the one you linked (note that it's the 448 core model). Or if you want to save some money: http://www.inet.se/produkt/5409290/asus-radeon-6950-1024mb-directcu-ii You won't get any benefits of the 2 gb variant for 1080p resolution (not sure what screen you have though) and it's also dual fan since you had chosen one of those (not really needed though). You might want to wait with the hdd if you want to save a little as the prices are still fairly high after the floodings. It's hard to find much cheaper atm though unless you find something on sale. You can change the psu to this to save a few bucks: http://www.inet.se/produkt/6900515/xfx-core-edition-450w-80-bronze Also you need an aftermarket heatsink if you want to overclock (I assume you do considering the 2500k and mobo). This one is pretty good: http://www.inet.se/produkt/5322017/cooler-master-hyper-212-evo I'm not familiar with the case so there you are on your own. ![]()

I have a Lenovo E520 : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834246254 (don't have original link, but this is very close to what I have) I was looking to buy a new CPU so I could maybe play SC2 with less lag late-game. Price range is 100-200 dollars hopefully. I tried to do research on my own but I don't trust myself and all the variations of cpu's are a bit confusing ![]()

But oh well, it's not that much price difference. There is a free shipment coupon on inet if you're a member on swec. The Samsung SSD is rumored to be quite stable, but if you want to save most money this is where you cut. You can find 120GB new gen SSDs for under 1000SEK. I bought an OCZ Agility3 120gb for 990SEK recently, think it was from Alina. While it's basically a cheaper manufacturing version of Vertex 3, in most desktop-environments it performs similar. Also, I wouldn't buy xfx core PSU over that tesla.
