Boxing day or sometime after... Are you going to be overclocking or not? What is your resolution? Newegg sucks for Canadians and most of those components suck in Canada as well. Rosewill is a Newegg brand so that case and power supply won't be available in Canada. Hey my I have no interest in Overclocking and my monitor result ion is 1685x1050. I pretty much have Cerumo order transfer over to NewEgg.ca. I don't have to much of a problem getting it ship internationally but if anyone know a place where I can get these part cheaper, it be great. Oh and I be buying this on boxing day or after

Questions for purchasing parts for tonights NCIX sale, can you correct any of these bellow? I plan on buying simple products that I "undrestand" at a good price and ask for recommendation on other things such as Motherboard/PSU/.. CPU: i5-2300 @ <150$ i5-2400 @ <180$ i5-2500 @ <200$ RAM: any 1.5V 8G @ <35$ GPU: The computer will be for my gf, I own a 2500k/SLI ready mobo/560Ti, would it make since to also buy a 560Ti for her and when both computers (~3 years)are lacking, put the 560Ti in my computer and buy a new PSU and buy her a new GPU? -there is also waiting for 7950 PSU: Can you list the 4-5 ~400W PSUs that are recommended on this site + @ <what price I should get them? or is it too complicated and will depend on other parts? (GPU will be 6870 or 560Ti or 6950 depending on deals and your answer above) DVDburner: Anything <16$ Then there is the Mobo and case left (will use old HD) only I think, the mobo I dont think I will be able to purchase as there is alot of things to it and the case, ill let her decide. Any good "cute" case suggestions that i can show her?

All the below are Seasonic S12II inside (Seasonic sells them under their own brand but they're rarely priced competitively). The option on the right side of the " / " is built a little better and has a little higher efficiency, but it's the same design and pretty much the same. Antec Neo Eco / Antec High Current Gamer 400W - $40 / $45 Antec Neo Eco 450W / XFX Core Edition 450W - $45 / $50 Antec Neo Eco / Antec High Current Gamer 520W- $50 / $55 Delta made, good quality, but 80mm fan can be noisier at higher loads. No difference in quality between " / " Antec Earthwatts Green 380W / 430W / 500W - $40 / $45 / $50 CWT made, not quite as preferred but decent. Corsair CX V2 430W / 500W - $40 / $50 Other more premium options: Antec TruePower New, Antec Earthwatts Green 650W (different design than the ones up to 500W), Cooler Master Silent Pro, FSP Aurum, OCZ ZS or OCZ ZT, anything Seasonic that doesn't look like a gray-box OEM version of an S12II, anything else by XFX** or Corsair or NZXT not listed above, and some others - at or below $60 is good **Well XFX Core Edition 550W is just like the 450W and doesn't count. All these are okay on i5-2500 and up to HD 6950 or GTX 560 Ti, some using a power adapter for the graphics card. I'm assuming they're not going to be overclocked and there's not 8 hard drives to power. Some of the 500W+ models of course would be definitely okay overclocking and all that, with those kinds of parts. As for cute looking cases, it's hard to estimate. I think in general it's easier to at least look for options on newegg because of the interface. Generally Lian-Li (some), Silverstone, Fractal Design have some of the less gaudy designs, but they're not cheap. Maybe I'm just not keen on freaky plastic and/or LEDs; on the other hand, I'd hardly call like a Fractal Design Arc Midi as cute? Personally I think pretty much all ATX sized mid towers and larger are too big and clunky to be considered cute, but maybe that's just me. Note which towers only fit microATX or miniITX motherboards though. Too be honest, most people really don't need the 7 slots on ATX, so I'm not sure if it's really a loss.

My build originated in this thread http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=271861,(800$ budget) but I've made a few modifications. Parts that deviate from the original build are underlined. + Show Spoiler + Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-Z68XP-UD3 Processor: Intel Core i5-2500K Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz (3.7GHz Turbo Boost) CPU Cooler: ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro Rev.2 92mm Fluid Dynamic CPU Cooler Graphics Card: GIGABYTE GV-N560OC-1GI GeForce GTX 560 Ti (Fermi) 1GB RAM G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda 320GB 3.5" SATA Case: RAIDMAX SMILODON ATX-612WB Power Supply: Antec Neo Eco 520W Optical Drive: SAMSUNG CD/DVD Burner Black SATA Model SH-222AB - OEM Monitor: ASUS VS Series VS228H-P Black 21.5" I changed what I did at my friends suggestion. Apparently the gigabyte motherboard is of higher quality than the MSI one used in the original thread (MSI P67S-C43 (B3)). Is it worth the extra 50$? Apparently the new CPU Cooler is also of higher quality (Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus, original). Also, my friend suggested upping the graphics card to a HD Radeon 6950 (2gb), which would also require a more powerful psu. Is the extra 100$ or so worth it? All I'm going to use this computer for is gaming (sc2, bf3) and homework. Edit: I plan to use this at a 1920x1080 resolution. I fairly sure all these parts are compatible, but I'm somewhat new to computer building and it would be great if someone could confirm they do. Thanks for any and all help. .

Also although that msi mobo indeed isnt the best, I'd much rather go with Asrock Pro3 or something similiar instead of going with an overpriced gigabyte mobo out of all brands Also how is 69502gb better than 560 ti anyway? Perhaps the 10% better but with worse overclocking. The extra vram is almost useless. and how does it require a better psu when 560 ti in fact uses more power than 6950? I suggest that you stop listening to your friend immediately, he doesn't know anything Also for that build the PSU I suggest would be something like rosewill capstone 400w 80+ gold or whatever it was

Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro is way worse than a Hyper 212 Plus. The former is significantly smaller, and uses a smaller 92mm fan as opposed to a 120mm fan, so...figure out the rest for yourself. A HD 6950 2GB is identical in performance to a HD 6950 1GB at 1920x1080, so don't pay extra for the extra VRAM. Also, that would not require a more powerful power supply than a GTX 560 Ti--power consumption and performance are both fairly similar. If an HD 6950 is like $5-10 more than a GTX 560 Ti, then it's a tossup I guess. There should be significantly more modern, feature-rich, less noisy, etc. cases with adequate cooling, for similar or lower price than the Raidmax (who wants a Raidmax anyway?). But feel free to get whatever you want there, by all means.

As well as matching keyboard and mouse! Thats adorable! Im sure they are all just terrible, and unavailable for shipping anyway. But I wouldn't think twice about putting that system in it. Doubly so if you swap out the PSU for something more reliable. For something that doesn't hit you over the head with pink: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811144258&nm_mc=OTC-Froogle&cm_mmc=OTC-Froogle-_-Cases (Computer Cases - ATX Form)-_-APEVIA CORP.-_-11144258 Build quality of both is about what you expect by the way. But so cute!

I'll order the other cooler and look into that psu and the other mobo. And also thanks Myrmidon. I'll look into a better case. I might the the asrock mobo instead, but either way I think it's worth it to me.

At current prices I'd think you'd be very foolish to pass up AsRock P67 Pro3 for $100 (usually it's a good buy around $115), unless you really need the second PCI Express x16 slot or whatever else. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157230 There's like MSI Z68A-G45 or Asus P8P67 or whatever else if for some reason you want something else.

So these are my questions for you guys. 1.) How do the 7700s compare to the today's market (obviously the card is not released yet, but if you guys have any info can you please link me and help me)? 2.) If I can get any graphics card that costs 350 or less, which one should I get (ranging from a 7000 series, a high end 6000 series, an NVIDIA, or w/e)? 3.) If I'm getting a 2500k, will any graphics card that I get bottleneck it or will it limit my performance (I'm going to be trying to livestream, do skype, listen to music, and have web browsers open most of the time as well as playing one game, nothing else too intensive maybe the occasional word processing app or MS Paint)? Thank you guys for your time and have a merry Christmas ![]()

A Radeon HD7970 and 7950 will definitely not be $350 or less so you can ignore these if that's your budget. For $350, you basically looking at around a GTX 560 Ti or Radeon HD6950. Streaming is dependent on your processor, has nothing to do with the graphics card. Everything else you listed is like shitty tasks that can be handled by a 10 year old computer. Most games are limited by the graphics card, there are some such as Starcraft II limited by the processor.

I'll go look up the benchmarks, but right now I'm looking towards the future. My build is like a i5 2500k, 8 GB of 1600 Mhz DDR3 Vengeance RAM, and then just standard HDD + Mobo (ASRock Extrem3 I think is what it's called, but it's the Z68 version) and then w/e I want for the graphics card. Thanks so much for the help, I'm going to go look at benchmarks for all the graphics cards I could get.

Thank you so much sir, I know that takes a long time to write. 1 last thing: I think its a good idea but I could be missing something: I own a 2500k/SLI ready mobo/560Ti, would it make since to also buy a 560Ti for her and when both computers (~3 years) are lacking in GPU, put the 560Ti in my computer and buy a new PSU for me and buy her a new GPU?

lol , That first case scared the shit out of her. but thanks :D, I guess it was my mistake, she is looking for something "cool".We were looking at cases and she seems to really like the lanboy, I know its very expensive but thats what she likes.... I was wondering if it comes with dust filters, she has pets so would it be problematic? edit: Ill try to convince her not to get it (well just tell her that it is too much and that the sound could be problematic, my little research didnt find too many cons) edit2: also, ncix doesnt have the red one.
