I posted here week or 2 ago that I was looking for new PC, I got couple of answers about some configurations and I have now list of components that I might buy. But I dont wanna take any risks so i'd like to have someone to answer my questions about these components. Im gonna use the PC to SC2 and would like to stream with good quality. CPU: Intel Core i5-2500K Tray, LGA1155 (195,-) What is difference between this and Intel Core i5-2500K Box, LGA1155 except price? Motherboard: ASRock H61DE/S3, Sockel 1155, ATX (64,-) RAM(?): 8GB-Kit Corsair XMS3 DDR3-1333 CL9 (32,-) Graphics card: Sapphire HD 6850 1GB GDDR5 PCI-Express (120,-) Is there any better then this one? Case: Cooler Master Elite RC-371 (36,-) Is this good? Is the components easy to fit in this one? Hard drive: Seagate Barracuda 7200 500GB SATA 6GB's (85,-) Power supply: Corsair Builder Series CX430 V2, 430 Watt (37,-) I heard that I need something like this with bigger Watt thing.. correct? DVD: Samsung SH-222AB bare schwarz SATA (16,-) 1. Is this ALL I need to build the PC? 2. Does these components support each other? 3. I got still lil bit money left, can I squeeze some better components ? I think I am gonna order these from hardware versand, but im scared of sending all my moneys at once to them so has anyone else ordered from hardware versand to another country? If yes how did u order ( like some postman brought it to your door and u paid with cash?) and how did it work(was there any problems with the delivery?) Im glad if someone would like to answer to these questions. (im gonna buy new monitor so I think it will have good resolution...?)

1) Yes. 2) Yes. No idea why you aren't getting a P67/Z68 motherboard to complement the i5 2500k. The H series motherboards can't overclock the CPU. 3) How much money do you have to spare? No idea how it works in the European Union but in Australia this is how it works: - I send money to X computer store. They give me the courier details (Australia Air Express most of the time) and the tracking number. - With the tracking number I can see where my package is, what's happening to it, and a general estimate of delivery time. - When the courier comes, he/she will get me to sign a form confirming that the right person collected the package. If I'm not at home, they leave a slip under the door telling me they dropped the package off at the closest Australia Post store. Its generally pretty safe so long you pay insurance on delivery (this should be an option). Sometimes you get hilarious courier stories like this guy who tried "hiding" a computer case by putting a doormat ontop of it but they're pretty rare. If you can't pick it up at home, often a good solution is to send it to your workplace. Obviously check your work's policy on this type of stuff if you want to do it this way. Edit: If you are overclocking, you should get a heatsink like a Coolermaster Hyper 212+.

I will definately buy P67/Z68 motherboard if it helps the performance of computer! (But I will not overclock or anything like that because I dont trust myself in these kind of things) 3. I have about 100-200euro left. more questions. 1. I pay with pure cash to the courier? 2. has anyone ordered from Hardware versand I'd like to hear some customers thought about that company?

Most (basically all) retailers don't give you the option of COD and since you're in the EU, there shouldn't be any duties involved. Have you never ordered online before? yeah with cash on delivery but they delivered it to my nearest post station and I paid to the post officer at cash desk. but that hardware versand cash on delivery says that bearer brings the things to given address.

Tray versions are becoming harder to find, at least in the Netherlands, but they do still pop up from time to time and some money can be saved. It's common to pay for the hardware before they ship it. Reputable stores like Hardwareversand process thousands of orders per year, so it's quite safe. You can opt for COD (cash-on-delivery), where you pay the delivery guy. There's usually some extra costs involved with this, as the postal company will want some money for handling the payment. Most stores in the Netherlands offer a COD option and a quick glace at the Hardwareversand website indicates that they do so too (but the detail page about shipping costs is in German, so I didn't look into it in much detail).

So what I have it this: PSU: Corsair TX 750W MOBO: ASUSTek P5Q-PRO PROCESSOR: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9450 Quad Core Processor LGA775 2.66GHZ Yorkfield 1333FSB 12MB VIDEO CARD: Palit Radeon HD 4870 512MB GDDR5 PCI-E 2XDVI-I Video Card RAM: OCZ Reaper Hpc Edition PC2-8500 DDR2 4GB 2X2GB DDR2-1066 CL5-5-5-15 Dual Channel EPP OS: Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium Edition 32BIT TOWER: Antec Three Hundred Mini Tower Gaming Case 300 ATX 3X5.25 6X3.5INT No PS Front USB & Audio RESOLUTION I PLAY AT: 1920x1080 I think its around a 26" monitor (I have a 46" tv hooked up as a 2nd monitor as well) WHAT I PLAY: I play almost anything, but currently i've been playing alot of bf3 and skyrim, league of legends and sc2. I would like to have my bf3 running at a good 60 fps. with high settings. WHAT IM PLANNING ON UPGRADING: I would like to get windows 7 64 bit but I am not a student so that looks like it'll cost me about 100$ or so and I've read that going from 32 bit to 64 bit everything will have to get backed up and completely reinstall pretty much every single program. (pain in the back) I would also like to have 8 gigs of ram (which i need the 64 bit OS for) And I would like a new video card I've been hearing that the 560 TI is a very reasonable card atm and am possibly leaning to get that. Now I've never had a nvidia card before i've always had an ATI one I even have the piece for crossfire (which i got with my video card so i'm not sure if the crossfire piece gets outdated and needs replacing its never been used) So I could get 2 radeon ones for crossfire or a bigger solo card. Now my budget is kinda weird I dont really have a set amount these are upgrades that I feel I want done and if 50$ give or take is the difference between 2 set ups id go with the better performance one spending the bit more. But with that I don't want the most expensive cards out there I want a high tier card but not the highest tier if that makes sense( ie. I feel the 560$ cards are way too much overkill) SO HERE ARE QUESTIONS: If I can get a good performance boost by just getting win 7 and more ram then I wont need a video card until next year or so or If getting just a new video card will be all the upgrades I need than thats all i'll get. I really like to multi task tho so i feel i need the more ram. I like to play a game in windowed fullscreen mode with a movie on streaming from my comp to my tv with like 4 browser tabs open in google chrome and as im typing this my comp is sitting at 74% physical memory usage with 99 process which seems an absurd amount. So the main reason I'm asking for help is I can't come to a decision and I'm not very up to date on current technology. But at the end I want to be able to multi task and run a game like bf with 60 fps right now i play on lowest at around 20 fps and the graphics are find the fps is what hurts but if im gonna upgrade I might as well improve it in all areas. what would you recommend as a plan of action for me to take? PS If I rambled too much just let me know and i can try and simplify it if its not clear And I will be ordering from NCIX

A 560ti (or roughly equivalently a HD6950) would be a significant upgrade [literally twice the performance] over your 4870. Here's a comparison: http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/304?vs=293 Or you could wait another month or two for the next-generation GPU's You could probably Overclock your CPU a little with a ~$30 investment in an aftermarket cooler so that it doesn't bottleneck a 560ti/6950 below smooth playable FPS, like ~40 or so. Windows 7 64bit makes sense to me. Your usage patterns sound similar to mine and I regularly go over 5-6GB but what win7 64 bit will allow is for your system to address ALL of your 4GB of RAM (currently it can only use 3.5GB or so because 512 is used by the GPU and 4gb is the limit for 32bit). Upgrading to a new GPU will make that 3GB (because the GPU will have 1GB VRAM), which you don't want The fact that you're at 74% RAM usage means you shouldn't need 8GB for now, but I think you do need the CPU overclocking. I would just make the above upgrades, see how it feels, and do more later if necessary.

It's best to wait for boxing week / day if you plan on upgrading to current generation technology. Some will suggest to you to wait until the first half of next year to get a Radeon HD7950. If you don't want to wait for the next generation of cards than you'll most likely pick up a Radeon HD6950 or GTX 560 Ti for around $200. DDR2 prices are sort of absurd. Just find some DDR2 on RFD but the prices probably won't be too appealing either. In other words, I wouldn't add more memory since it doesn't sound like you're a heavy multi-tasker. As mentioned, you are just being limited by having a 32bit operating system.

And ill definately work on overclocking my cpu once I get a new cooler. Any recomendations or certain ones to avoid that I should be aware of?Oh also if I'm to reinstall my stuff with Windows 7 64 from vista 32 would it also be worth picking up an ssd? Like would putting my OS on that be a huge speed upgrade I've never used one before.
