I hear extra memory helps the time it takes to code a video and get it ready for uploading to youtube. Does it help streaming itself aswell? Is the i7 2700k worth it? Or totally overkill? 8GB mem worth it? Or even 12GB? Memory doesn't matter a whole lot as long as you have enough. 8 GB is fine. The i7 2700k is overkill. Go for the i5 2500k, it's nearly as good for a much better price.
Gaming. Secondary, I don't mind not being able to run Crysis 3 next year on UBERHIGHEST detail. Don't want to spend my money on 2x 6950. 1x 6970 should suffice? Or 2x 6870 might be more cost effective? I'd go for a single 6970 (or maybe a 6950 that can be modded to 6970 specs). Crossfire / SLI effectiveness is still highly dependent on the game, so results may vary. Where possible, opt for single cards IMO.
Do you plan on overclocking? I can overclock, but only a slight bit, don't want to take big risks. When streaming it's SUPERBBB important to have a stable PC, overclocking (in my experience) can sometimes make it unstable.
There are torture / stresstest programs that let you push your processor far beyond where streaming will push it as most regular software will only use part of the CPU (for example: only the floating point units, leaving the integer units mostly idle). Good stresstesting programs are designed to put all parts to full load. If a machine is stable under such a test, it'll be stable for streaming. The Sandy Bridge i5 series is quite a good overclocker, so you can get a pretty good performance boost out of it, with enough tools to ensure that it's stable.
Where are you buying your parts from? Dutch websites. If you want to be my personal hero, check http://tweakers.net/pricewatch/ for the cheapest avaiable products. Usually www.Azerty.nl has good prices and service. But I don't expect anyone to do this, I am looking for general advice on what parts to buy (: Pick the cheapest shop in the pricewatch that has good average review scores (take shipping costs into account when combining different shops). Note that Azerty has a bit of a bad rep for advertising very low prices on some products (as in, 20%+ below the competition) and then not shipping the item for the advertised price. For most of their stuff, all is fine (ordered from them once or twice, no problems), but if you see something that seems incredibly cheap, it's probably not going to happen.

Question, does anybody here build pc's then turn around and sell them? I really want to build another pc, but i want to sell it with some or no profit i suppose. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with it. I really did enjoy building mine so im eager to do it again.

Building a computer for my buddy. I kind of know how to do it thanks to you guys, but I figured that y'all are a bit smarter than me.
What is your budget?
About 1000$
What is your resolution?
1600x900
What are you using it for?
Gaming, with battlefield three and a few other good games/Starcraft 2 as well. He's also going into college next year, although I imagine anything that a gaming computer can do will handle work stuff fine.
What is your upgrade cycle?
2+ years
When do you plan on building it?
Within the next two months I believe
Do you plan on overclocking?
Nah
Do you need an Operating System?
I don't think so.
Do you plan to add a second GPU for SLI or Crossfire?
Again, I don't think so.
Where are you buying your parts from?
Processor is coming from microcenter because it's about 50$ cheaper (we have one here) but everywhere else can be online.

8 GB RAM (Since you have excess money) i5 2500 H61/H67 Motherboard ATI 6850 (ATI 6870 since you have excess money but your resolution is low)
Should be around 600, definitely not over 700 w/o OS unless you buy a godly case.
My own question, does MSI Afterburner OC cards of other brands? e.g. PowerColor

Well you can do it on craigslist and ebay but if you want to start your own business, there's a lot involved.

Yes, i would do it on craigslist mainly because i really don't trust ebay that much, Im thinking about maybe a price range of $500 for parts then sell for maybe $700 or 600$? Net some profit for my time also gain some experience which is mainly what i want.

If the $500 budget doesn't include the operating system than yes I guess it's doable.

Personally I only build for people I know, friends and relatives and such. Though it's usually not for profit. They either buy you some beers or they owe you a favor or something like that. If it's mainly the building part you are interested in, that's probably the best idea.

What would you do if someone pays you, gets the computer and then says it doesn't work? I think there's a lot more then "Hey I want to build computers to sell them!" There are going to be a lot of people trying to scam you. How will you deal with it?

This is the basis of a good build but I strongly recommend going up to a HD 6950 1GB or GTX 560ti as it will allow you to play BF3 and other games truly maxed. For example, at 1680x1050 Ultra Settings (only slightly bigger than 1600x900), a HD 6950 averages only 45 FPS in this BF3 benchmark, and it doesn't even seem like the most intense test run (see their methodology): http://www.techspot.com/review/458-battlefield-3-performance/page3.html
So a HD 6850 definitely won't max it (and won't max other games either), a 6870 might - but it also might have barely playable frame rates in the 30s and 40s. In general, I personally prefer having a little extra power than a little less (when the budget allows for the extra) and be forced to turn down settings.

By the way, is there any program with which I can make my HD 4850s core clock above 700mhz and memory clock above 1200mhz? As this easily got up to those without problems and I think it's a bit silly to be capped there =/ Would like to push this to max without tweaking voltage.

Ya, this would be something i would be worried about it. Maybe a cash only deal where i show them that it's working right infront of them. I will let them fiddle around to see that it works and maybe offer troubleshooting advice.
hmm, any ideas?
As far as someone who suggested just building for family and friends, I am trying to persuade one of my friends to get a comp so i can build it but he spends his money too fast lol. And my dad still insists that his computer from the 90's is perfect...

Well I'm pretty sure if you go post a bill in some local supermarket that says "Selling little used computer with Pentium G620, Radeon 6670 and 4GB RAM for 400$" and tell how well it runs some popular games someone will be interested

Did you try Powerstrip? I've not used it since forever, but back in the days before GPU drivers came with their own overclock tools, Powerstrip was the go-to software to add a bunch of extra MHz to the graphics card. According to their website the latest version was released this april, so it's at least still being developed.

Honestly that's not my problem if I'm selling on craigslist and not running a business. I guess you can offer 30 day warranty if you want. If you were selling on a BST forum than it's easy to avoid scammers by not selling to people that doesn't have a history and/or heatware.
