The OCZ ModXStream Pro is not bad at all, but the XFX is better aside from having non-modular cables (if that's a plus to you). Corsair CX V2 is also acceptable and cheaper, though less reliable long-term than the XFX unit.

Both the GTX 560 and GTX 560 Ti are priced fairly relative to each other and to AMD products. That Gigabyte GTX 560 looks good. If you don't mind losing 200 MHz, the i5-2400 is $20 cheaper, about $30 cheaper after promo code if you order today. That power supply is plenty overkill for that configuration but a decent pick for the price.
Can you recommend a motherboard for me? Which nvidia card is not overpriced and still a decent card? I want to pay max 250$ for a vga

This is a close to final list, ordering in a few hours. Any tips? Things that I can cheaply boost or cut back a bit on without losing much performance?
Note: I have 7200RPM HDDs in my current computer that I will migrate and install the OS on.

My friend needs a build around the $500 to $600 range, but nothing more than 600. He doesn't need the OS though and he'll be mainly buying from newegg. Suggestions on builds please?

I think the one you got was fine. A GTX 560 Ti would be okay too. EVGA -AR for lifetime warranty, MSI Twin Frozr, some other models are good.

Heatsink is probably way overpriced relative to how much you need for a reasonable overclock on a i5-2500k and overpriced for the performance. If there's cheaper 2 x 4GB RAM, you won't lose much performance at all going to 1333 MHz RAM.
Seasonic-branded power supplies tend to be more expensive than alternatives, including identical Seasonic-manufactured products sold under other brands. If you have a single GPU (which?), you can get by with much less than 620W.

I'd rather have a bit of extra power for the future anyway. The RAM costs the same at 1333MHz and 1600MHz in the store I'm getting it from so...

Well, either fix your links, or tell us what the parts are. Or better yet, both.

Oh well that was embarassing lmao. fixed.

A core i3 2100 has limited overclocking, basically none at all. If you want to overclock, you need a K processor, ex. core i5 2500k.
If you're not overclocking, you can get a H61 or H67 motherboard such as the Asrock H61M-VS as previously suggested. If you want USB3/SATA3, you can get an Asrock H61M U3S3.
The MSI Radeon HD5770 Twin Frozr is an arguably poor choice.

Hyper212+ isn't really worth $50, get the Xigmatek Gaia instead.
